Some serve Him as 'Gusain', others as 'Allaah'. ||1||

Kaaran Karan Kareem ||
He is the Cause of causes, the Generous Lord.

ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰਿ ਰਹੀਮ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Kirapaa Dhhaar Reheem ||1|| Rehaao ||
He showers His Grace and Mercy upon us. ||1||Pause||

ਕੋਈ ਨਾਵੈ ਤੀਰਥਿ ਕੋਈ ਹਜ ਜਾਇ ॥
Koee Naavai Theerathh Koee Haj Jaae ||
Some bathe at sacred shrines of pilgrimage, and some make the pilgrimage to Mecca.|

ਕੋਈ ਕਰੈ ਪੂਜਾ ਕੋਈ ਸਿਰੁ ਨਿਵਾਇ ॥੨॥
Koee Karai Poojaa Koee Sir Nivaae ||2||
Some perform devotional worship services, and some bow their heads in prayer. ||2||

ਕੋਈ ਪੜੈ ਬੇਦ ਕੋਈ ਕਤੇਬ ॥
Koee Parrai Baedh Koee Kathaeb ||
Some read the Vedas, and some the Koran.

ਕੋਈ ਓਢੈ ਨੀਲ ਕੋਈ ਸੁਪੇਦ ॥੩॥
Koee Oudtai Neel Koee Supaedh ||3||
Some wear blue robes, and some wear white. ||3||

ਕੋਈ ਕਹੈ ਤੁਰਕੁ ਕੋਈ ਕਹੈ ਹਿੰਦੂ ॥
Koee Kehai Thurak Koee Kehai Hindhoo ||
Some call themselves Muslim, and some call themselves Hindu.

ਕੋਈ ਬਾਛੈ ਭਿਸਤੁ ਕੋਈ ਸੁਰਗਿੰਦੂ ॥੪॥
Koee Baashhai Bhisath Koee Suragindhoo ||4||
Some yearn for paradise, and others long for heaven. ||4||

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਨਿ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਪਛਾਤਾ ॥
Kahu Naanak Jin Hukam Pashhaathaa ||
Says Nanak, one who realizes the Hukam of God's Will,

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕਾ ਤਿਨਿ ਭੇਦੁ ਜਾਤਾ ॥੫॥੯॥
Prabh Saahib Kaa Thin Bhaedh Jaathaa ||5||9||
Knows the secrets of his Lord and Master. ||5||9||

ਛਤ੍ਰਧਾਰੀ ਛਤ੍ਰੀਪਤਿ ਛੈਲ ਰੂਪ ਛਿਤਨਾਥ ਛੌਣੀ ਕਰ ਛਾਇਆ ਬਰ ਛਤ੍ਰੀਪਤ ਗਾਈਐ ॥
shhathradhhaaree shhathreepath shhail roop shhith naathh shhaanee kar shhaaeiaa bar shhathreepath gaaeeai
He is sung as the canopied monarch, the Lord of canopies, a winsome entity, the Master and Creator of the earth and the superb support.

ਬਿਸੁਨਾਥ ਬਿਸ੍ਵੰਭਰ ਬੇਦਨਾਥ ਬਾਲਾਕਰ ਬਾਜੀਗਰਿ ਬਾਨ ਧਾਰੀ ਬੰਧ ਨ ਬਤਾਈਐ ॥
bisunaathh bisa(n)ooubhar baedh naathh baalaa kar baajeegar baan dhhaaree ba(n)dhhan bathaaeeai.
He is the Lord Sustainer of the Universe, Master of Vedas depicted as Lord having discipline.

ਨਿਉਲੀ ਕਰਮ ਦੂਧਾਧਾਰੀ ਬਿਦਿਆਧਰ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਚਾਰੀ ਧਿਆਨ ਕੋ ਲਗਾਵੈ ਨੈਕ ਧਿਆਨ ਹੂੰ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ॥
nioulee karam dhoodhhaadhhaaree bidhiaadhhar brehamachaaree dhhiaan ko lagaavai naik dhhiaan hoo(n) n paaeeai
The Yogis performing Neoli Karma (cleansing of intestines), those subsisting only on milk, learned and celibates, all meditate upon Him, but without an iota of getting His comprehension.

ਰਾਜਨ ਕੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਮਹਾਰਾਜਨ ਕੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਐਸੋ ਰਾਜ ਛੋਡਿ ਅਉਰ ਦੂਜਾ ਕਉਨ ਧਿਆਈਐ ॥੩॥੪੨॥
raajan kae raajaa mehaaraajan kae mehaaraajaa aiso raaj shhodd aour dhoojaa koun dhhiaaeeai (3)(42)
He is the king of kings and emperor of emperors, Who else should be meditated upon, forsaking such a Supreme monarch?.3.42.
