'Go On' pulls the listener in with crunchy yet light-hearted guitar chords which seems to initially bring a crowd-pleasing dynamic of pop punk/alternative rock sound. On closer inspection and a good listen through the melancholy lyrics absolutely contrast with that with this head-bobbing catchy easy to listen to tune. Certainly the average listener could relate to this all to well known situation of moving on from a past relationship and trying to come to terms letting that person Go On. Jared Mancuso delivers these heartsick lyrics but it comes at that material with a lighter than expected overall sound.

The emerging alt-rocker, Jared Mancuso, drops his latest single Break Me on June 4th, 2021. This is a follow-up to his throwback single Go On released earlier this year. Getting back into the riff-rock sound, most notable from his 2018 album Hype!, the new single kicks it into high gear right from the first drum hit and drives at 120mph all the way through to the last word. The track was written, recorded, and mastered entirely on his own at his studio in Phoenix, AZ.
Break Me cries out to everyone who has made it through this pandemic. It's not over yet, but we're starting to see the world open back up again. The anxiety many people are feeling is real. Millions have lost loved ones, vaccinations are rolling out, is it ok to take off our masks or should we wait a little longer? We have to start to break ourselves back out and ease the anxieties we built up. It won't happen overnight, but when you're ready, blast this song and kick open the door.

Happy Birthday to Buddy Holly! I heard an acoustic demo version of this song that Buddy made and I couldn’t help but feel like it was something off the Green Album from Weezer. I’ve been sitting on wanting to do this recording for a while now but spent a lot of time focusing on creating Hype! (my recently released new album. Then, two nights ago, I finally put it together for Buddy’s 82nd Birthday! I was excited at the opportunity pay tribute to two of my biggest influences with this one. Enjoy!

This is the start of an ongoing EP called Art of the Fling. These are songs that don't quite go along with the Superdope or Hype! sound, but I still want to be able to share new material with you! This song, "Take You, Too," was inspired by The Beach Boys' "Help Me, Rhonda," and falls into that "summer is the best!" kind of vibe. I actually recorded it over a year ago but I felt as though I kept missing the pocket of time where it seemed like an appropriate release. Well, fall is here and I'm missing the warm sunny weather already...so it seems like the right time.
