Since April 28, Colombia entered into a national strike catalyzed by a new tax reform in the midst of a brutal economic and social crisis exacerbated by the pandemic. The government tried to shift the burden of tax collection back to the middle and lower classes. Parallel to the peaceful protests, there are organized groups using the chaos to vandalize. The police and military forces executed hundreds of violent acts in the demonstrations and peaceful protests that still continue and that leave to date (8.05.2021) according to Human Rights International, 43 assassinations, 105 disappeared, 160 attacks medical missions, 160 detainees, 1330 wounded and 6 cases of sexual violence.

While this oppression is at its peak by the police and ESMAD, it is not new. Colombia is a country marked by inequality, corruption and systematic violence against the people through neoliberal policies, drug trafficking and elite mass media that manipulate and hide the truth. In a country where education and health are privileges, where opportunities are utopias and the future seems to be cancelled, people go out, people march, people are angry, people can't take it anymore.

Aligned with this feeling, multiple collectives and agents of the Colombian and international culture and scene decided to unite and contribute with our art to help the victims of this oppressive government, to amplify and denounce the police barbarism and to raise our voice and resist through our art.

SOS Colombia is a fist up, a cry that today becomes a collective action of musicians and visual artists presented in a compilation of techno and experimental music and also short documentaries that will expose to the world how an extreme right-wing government massacres and silences its people.

"Against the violations of human rights" , "In the absence and violence of the state. The people unite and self-manage" and "Dignity, Justice and Peace" will be the three parts of this compilation that will raise funds to give to several verified human rights organizations and self-managed initiatives that are working with the most affected populations of this crisis, holding the statistics of supporting the invaluable work of the front lines in Cali, Bogota, Medellin. BIOGRAFIA: 
Jhohan Muñoz Ocampo emergió en el ámbito musical con determinación a finales de 2021, trazando su camino en el mundo del techno como DJ y productor. Sus primeros pasos lo llevaron a explorar la producción musical a través del DAW LMMS, una experiencia formativa que sentó las bases de su comprensión sobre la esencia del techno.

Tras asimilar los secretos de la síntesis musical, dirigió su enfoque hacia la maestría en mezcla, perfeccionando sus habilidades en consolas de renombre como Pioneer DDJ400, XDJ XZ, Pioneer RX2, DJM900 y XDJ1000. En busca de una paleta sonora más rica, Jhohan se aventuró con herramientas avanzadas y estaciones de trabajo como Ableton Live, explorando el territorio de los aparatos análogos, desde secuenciadores, sintetizadores y cajas rítmicas. Esta inmersión en la tecnología y el arte de la música le proporcionó un fundamento sólido.

Jhohan no tardó en compartir su creatividad con el mundo, presentando sus primeras producciones en plataformas digitales de renombre como SoundCloud, spotify, YouTube, Beatport, Bandcamp y Submithub. El entusiasmo y el apoyo de su audiencia fueron su inspiración para dar un paso más allá. Tras conquistar escenarios locales y nacionales canalizó su energía creativa hacia sus perfiles en redes creando producciones hechas a la medida de su AKA y en su último lanzamiento KSKD V/A con participaciones nacionales e internacionales deja claro el rumbo del sonido de las montañas cafeteras. También dejó su marca en los sellos manizalitas; Trascendance Records y THmm Manizales y en el exterior  submitrecords (Leipzig Alemania), donde su música se caracteriza por cautivar a los oyentes con sus ritmos constantes y envolventes, creando atmósferas hipnóticas que evocan los épicos antros de los años 90, donde la música era la única realidad que importaba.
