Young musical promise, originally from Guatemala, reaches Mexico to be placed in the public eye.

Estefani Brolo is among the most recognized artists of Guatemala. Since the beginning of 2010 she has positioned herself at the top of radio charts with themes like Life Can Be So Good and Lights with Francis Davila. She has also been placed 5th. at the top 20 chart with songs like Tripsounder and Back door. Such has been the impact of Brolo in Guatemala that she has been invited to open concerts and participate in major festivals with world-class artists such as Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, Dash Berlin, Randy Boyer, Pit Bull, Chris Jones, Eller Van Buuren, Soul Clap, The Rasmus and Heatbeat, among others.

She started with acting when she enrolled at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Madrid in 2003. However, her powerful mezzo-soprano voice and agility with words led her to participate in impromptu jam sessions at Spanish clubs, convincing her that music was her true calling.

Soon after, in 2005, she met the talented producer Leo Carro (Argentina), whose work consists mainly in composing Trip Hop mix with Deep House and Down Tempo Elements. It was then that the first collaborative project of Brolo took place and Tripsounder was born. Together they have recorded more than 30 original songs including the single Back Door.

Brolo’s work with Carro allowed her to introduce Deep House into her performances at Spanish clubs. In 2010, world renowned producer and DJ Francis Davila asked her to participate in his latest album "Shine", where she sang and composed four songs.
Almost ten years after leaving her native Guatemala, the singer-songwriter and producer Estefani Brolo returned to Central America determined to transform the traditional concept of pop and electronics. Coming back inspired her to write, sing and produce her first solo album "Fix". Brolo worked for a year and a half on the album, continuing with arrangements of improvised jazz as she did before in Barcelona.
Brolo talks about the importance of making this album in Guatemala, attributing her interest to the many cultures integrated under one roof.

"Who says Guatemala's music can only be ballads, rock or the traditional sound of the Marimba? There is so much musical heritage extract from Garifuna music that can be incorporated to rhythms and contemporary arrangements," explains Brolo. "I am the third generation of Guatemalan women with grandparents who landed from Spain and Italy. I grew up listening to David Bowie, Super Tramp, Janis Joplin and other artists of the 60s, being inspired by the sounds of Punta also.

FIX MYSELF (first single)

Since its official launch on August 20, 2012, Fix Myself was placed first at the Top Ten in Radio 949 / 94.9FM, one of the most listened stations in Guatemala. Two days later the song was number one at the iTunes charts. The theme is still being played at juvenile city stations and some alternative music stations, including internet radios.
Fix Myself was written and recorded by Brolo, produced by Francis Davila (DJ # 62 according to DJmag) and mastered by Gene Grimaldi, who has worked with artists like Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj. The video was shot by Cannes award winning director, Giuseppe Badalamenti, and released
on Youtube. Within two weeks the video already had more than 100,000 visits.
