Mexican geek ALF CHAMPION returns to Playground Records to deliver his first EP on the label: ‘J.H Nasmyth’. Named after the Scottish inventor.

For this new launch Rafa joins forces with a bunch of friends from the Mexican underground scene armed with powerful analog gear and lots of talent to create sophisticated and intelligent music. Organic breakbeat, playful jams, jazzy synth feelings and plenty of diverse sonic landscapes are some of the treasures you will find in this magic box.

The album takes the final shape with remixes from Paradise Palms Records' head-honcho the Scottish Jacuzzi General and the Andalusian producer, dear friend and brilliant member of Correspondant crew Javi Redondo.

Inspired by the 80’s anime series Ulysses 31, Parallel’s (@dj_parallel) Seven Close Suns EP for Midnight People (@midnight_people) dives into themes of space and technology. Incorporating sounds from the series, arranged over driving Italo bass lines and bouncing hi-hats, the London based producer delivers 4 original tracks. 

Birds (@birdsoflondonsparadise) remixes the title track, with a post-punk, new wave twist, merging her vocals over the top for her typical sound.

Ivan de la Rouch y Rams son dos artistas consolidados de la escena madrileña, que saben muy bien cómo enfocar sus producciones en lo que significa la cultura de club contemporánea.

Fusionando estilos que van desde el italodisco, el new wave o el slow hasta evocar piezas tan maravillosas como la que aquí presentamos: Diskobrute Ep, en @nuff-music al que le acompañan remixes de Azaria y Disco Mortale, que conjugan un disco de altos voltaje, que hará las delicias en los sounsystem de los mejores clubs. 

El resultado es tan experimental como intenso y adictivo, que se adueña de uno mismo, mientras nos transporta progresivamente, como pocos artistas con cierta fluidez están dispuestos a hacer. No sabemos qué nos depara el futuro, pero sí sabemos que este registro es testimonio de un presente turbulento e incierto, que quedará en nuestra memoria para siempre. Italian electro-pop project YEY join forces with Djale for a superb new package on Night Vibez.
Chiara Cerchice leads the YEY group and in 2019 they released their acclaimed ‘More Cowbell’ LP, then followed it up with 2020 single 'Russian Love'. Now Djale, aka Alessandro Sarsano, has reshaped three YEY tracks with an extended package that show off their various sounds. The sunny and upbeat 'Stockholm' opens with a catchy groove and feel-good melodies. The bass is warm and the drums skip with a real sense of charm before the sensuous lyrics add a further layer of warmth. 'Broken By Tears' has a more melancholy feel with pensive chord work over raw drums, while sparkling notes bring light. The drums eventually break up as an angelic vocal appears before the groove uplifts once more. The retro-future drums and surging rhythms of 'Couldn’t Care Less' come awash with cosmic arps and nostalgic drum fills that will raise any dance floor off its feet.
Then come three versions, with 'Stockholm' (Dub Rock and Down Mix) getting stripped back to languid guitar riffs and plenty of mixing board effects over dub-disco drums. The brilliant 'Broken By Tears' (Venice Strings Dub Mix) is a lush affair perfect for open-air dancing in the sun and last of all 'Couldn’t Care Less' (Down Guitars Mix) comes with a lead acid line that mutates over the slapping drums. This is a diverse and timeless package of real electro-pop and disco joy.
