Toronto-based producer Iskarelyn lands on Purified Records with his stunning two-track ‘Eclipse’ EP. The title track floats across a dreamy instrumental arrangement, intertwining soaring synths and vocals across a melodic soundscape. Flowing into ‘Odyssey’, Iskarelyn combines gentle instrumentation and fleeting synths to devise a poignant and soothing atmosphere.
The ‘Eclipse’ EP artwork features a photograph of a turtle, captured by Daniel Nicholson. Sea turtles are ancient marine reptiles known for their long migrations between feeding grounds and nesting sites, with some species traveling thousands of miles across the ocean. They face numerous threats, including habitat destruction, climate change, poaching, and entanglement in fishing gear, leading all species to be listed as endangered.  Please support organizations like @sunghaiwatch, which is working to remove plastic before it gets to the ocean.

Presenting the latest edition of the Fragments series, Purified Records reveals Fragments XXV. Welcoming British producers Marksman & TJ Lawton to the imprint with ‘Evocation’, the pair craft a mesmerizing soundscape that journeys across different heights and textures. Returning to the imprint with ‘Sunshine March’, Australian producer Juno Stone devises a blissful sonic environment with nature samples and undulating instrumental patterns. Closing the collection with Korean artist somyu’s  ‘I Kept Telling Myself’, this creation ebbs and flows with gentle instrumentation and twinkling synths. 

The Fragments XXV artwork displays an image of a coral reef, captured by Daniel Nicholson. Corals are living animals made up of tiny, soft-bodied organisms called polyps, which form colonies over time. These polyps build hard skeletons of calcium carbonate, creating the coral reefs that serve as critical habitats for marine life. Corals face multiple threats, with climate change being the most significant, as rising sea temperatures cause coral bleaching, weakening their ability to survive. Somyu - I Kept Telling Myself

Following his massive release ‘Strange World’ earlier this year, Czech producer Dominik Gehringer returns to Purified, teaming up with Ovadia for their ‘Digital Age’ EP. Entering a futuristic realm through spoken word vocoders, heavy percussion and soaring synths, the producers explore a cacophony of sounds in the title track. Delivering a peak time cut, Dominik leads audiences on an energetic journey throughout a hybrid and impactful soundscape in his second offering ‘Dance With Me’.

The ‘Digital Age’ artwork showcases a striking image of a blacktip shark, captured by Daniel Nicholson. Blacktip sharks (Carcharhinus limbatus) are powerful predators found in tropical and subtropical waters, playing a key role in maintaining the balance of marine ecosystems by regulating prey populations. These sharks are known for their distinctive black-tipped fins and their remarkable agility, often leaping out of the water during feeding frenzies. Unfortunately, overfishing and habitat degradation are threatening their populations. The Shark Research Unit, (@sharkresearchunit / shark-research.com), is conducting critical studies on shark behavior, ecology, and conservation to protect these vital species and ensure the health of ocean ecosystems.
