A staple name on Purified Records, Dan Sushi returns with his striking two-track ‘Horizon’ EP. Opening with the title track, he crafts an underground gem laced with airy melodic textures and nostalgic rave-inspired synths, fusing atmosphere with dancefloor grit. On the flip, ‘Nostalgia’ unfolds with a bellowing bassline and subtly grooved percussion, building into a cinematic break that evokes serene, natural beauty before plunging back into its powerful rhythm. The ‘Horizon’ EP artwork is an aerial photograph of a glacial river in Iceland taken by Jan Erik Waider. A fine art photographer based in Hamburg, Germany, Jan is known for capturing abstract landscapes of the northern latitudes. With a focus on water, ice, and intricate natural patterns, his work reveals the beauty hidden in the subtle details of the world around us.

These frozen intricacies are slowly vanishing in a warming world. Making their collaborative debut on Purified Records, Serra 9 and Somyu unveil the immersive ‘Ocean’ EP. The title track opens with swirling melodies and deep, hypnotic grooves - blending Serra 9’s textured production with Somyu’s delicate, piano-driven touch to create a sound both fluid and expansive. On the flip, ‘Final Signal’ delivers a deeper, more introspective cut, layering atmospheric pads and intricate rhythms with subtle emotional weight. Together, these tracks form a captivating journey through melodic soundscapes and nuanced storytelling. A seamless fusion of both artists’ distinct styles, the ‘Ocean’ EP marks a standout moment for the pair - introducing a refined collaboration that leaves a lasting impression.

Taken by Brooke Pyke, the ‘Ocean’ EP artwork features a pair of young humpback whales cruising the Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia. Brooke is an award-winning marine life photographer from Australia, based on Ningaloo Reef in WA. With a background in diving, she now focuses on ocean, travel, and adventure photography, capturing the beauty of the underwater world since 2014.

Each year, humpback whales migrate thousands of kilometres to the warm, sheltered waters of Western Australia’s Ningaloo Reef to breed, give birth, and raise their young. The Australian Institute of Marine Science (@australianmarinescience) supports research across these vital ecosystems, using science and technology to better understand and protect Australia’s marine biodiversity

Magic Wand casts a spell on Dimitri Vegas , Like Mike & W&W’s smash ‘Arcade’

After the success of Magic Wand’s debut ‘Sunset’ on Smash The House, label heads Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike have enlisted the Belgian native to work his magic on their latest offering – their collaboration with W&W, the club banger ‘Arcade’. The remix sees the track primed to hit the festival circuit hard this year transformed from a main-room weapon into a tropical, summery affair primed to hit the festival circuit hard this year.

The epic drums and delayed guitar of the breakdown create the perfect hands in the air moment and guarantee the track will be a standout of every DJ’s set in festival grounds and on dancefloors across the globe. Magic Wand takes the same melody used in the original to create his own bassline which, paired with the tracks tribal-sounding percussion, combine to create a perfect feel-good summer anthem. The expertly chopped vocals give the track a modern vibe and instant catchiness that looks set to make this an early contender for one of the tracks of the summer.
