It's an upbeat and infectious tune, that tells the story of getting to know someone for the first time, in the student pubs and clubs of Leeds.

The Everyday Kind

The Day The School Burned Down is an upbeat anthem, and firm favourite from our debut EP! It’s based on a poem that my grandad, Patrick, wrote many years ago. He was a child psychiatrist, and once worked with a boy accused of arson, only to recognise something of himself in the child's rebellious spirit. We had a CD of him reading his poems back home, and something about this one always captured my imagination growing up. So, we decided to turn it into a defiant, fiery tune! The first verse is almost verbatim, with only a few changes to the original to make it rhyme; and the second verse is my own take on it, carrying it on with my own experiences of school.

The Day The School Burned Down

The Scottish/Irish folk tune ‘Wild Mountain Thyme’ conjures imagery of a past age in the highlands, about as stark a contrast as you can get with bustling city life. In many ways though, the tale of hopeful young romance resonates with all of us; and so we reimagined this tale - transporting it into the unlikely setting of a student bar. The original chorus is fused with our own hip-hop inspired groove, imprinting the new sounds of Leeds onto the 18th century story.

The third track of our 2023 debut EP explores how we view masculinity, and the implications for men and women alike.

I Forgive Us All Bro

Isabella, our latest single, is an ode to friendship. Celebrating the crucial roles some play in our lives.
