Next on the show, space commander @hernan-lagos, DJ and producer from Barcelona, Hernán Lagos is a great enthusiast of electronic music and one of the key figures o the past decade in the city of Barcelona. Hernán started spinning vinyl records in 1999. In May 2011, he released New Life, his first álbum. He remixed The Beatles, Jean Michele Jarre, Queen, James Blunt, Rone...In 2013 he decided to launch his One Reason to Dance parties, with the goal of promoting emerging artists and combining them with more established ones. In 2014, he formed Ameba, The Electronic Music Association of Barcelona, aling with Sergi Peña, Ignasi Catalán and Marc Soler.
In 2017 he released Introspective, his second album. He has performed in various venues such as Moog, Macarena, Festivalera, Siroco, Razzmataz , Rachdingue, Laut, Golden Gate.. Since 2015, he has been resident Dj of Churros con Chocolate's party at Sala Apolo. In 2023, he creates Rotten Dance alongside dj and producer Álvaro Cabana.

Rogier (skim session) was born on the 21st of march in 1980, Hilversum the Netherlands. 
He grew up as the youngest of three in his family. (older sister and brother)
Music became a part of his life on early age. His brother played and covered lots of synthesizer greatest hits late 80's early 90's.
So this type of music was an influence in his taste of music. Atmospheric sounds and catchy tunes.
But when growing up, more styles of music came to his ears. House music, and especially techno caught his attention. 
Pushing beats, punching kicks and many mad hi-hats, this energy was something new and great for him. Techno opened his world to dj'ing and producing too. Skim Session started dj'ing with vinyl on the age of 19.
With influences of techno artists like Funk D'Void, Vince Watson, Oliver Ho, Samuel L Session and more, his style took form.
Spicy melodic techno is what he likes playing most. 
The name Skim Session came from his love of skimboarding. And as an skimboarder this melodic techno is exactly what fits the skimboarding
scene. As skimboarding can be smooth, but also a bit rough, so can be techno!
He can take you on a smooth and spicy "Skim Session" when you listen to his mixes and productions.

The latest in our series spotlighting Pirate Studio dj's and artists. This one comes from Molly Mouse who delivers a fun filled hour of uplifting House music which has us set for the weekend.

Coming from a background of music and soundsystem culture, Molly has established herself as a DJ with close connections to Good Company and Lady of the House following a number of releases. 

Her sound is driven by the core principles of classic Chicago House music but is paired with new school sensibilities which has lead her to many a festival and international appearance over the years. 

This one is for all the hip shakers, shufflers and two steppers. Sun kissed music built for the terraces and warmer climates.

This is the third mix in a our series which will spotlight artists from within the Pirate Studios community, one which does not disappoint.

fjeden theme:cast is a monthly mixtape series. In each episode, we ask one person to create a mixtape on their selected topic. No genre restrictions. An artwork accompanying the mix and theme is created as well

With uncertainty often comes a feeling of uneasiness and discomfort. When we are unable to place something within a binary system, it lets it remain mysterious and incomprehensable in a way. As beings with the apparent need for systemification, this characteristic imposes significant challenges on ourselves. To be able to accept the ambivalence of the world and the uncertainty that comes with it helps to create an inner sanctuary and to find peace. 
I tried to approach this uncertainty through using music and genres I have never DJed with before and through not preparing a fixed tracklist. I tried to embrace all the small imperfections that come with that approach. To delve deeper into the topic I worked together with Camilla Carlsen (Instagram: @camillaxcarla), who drew the artwork for this set live while I recorded the set.

Esther Roozendaal, known as Estroe, is an electronic music artist exploring the boundaries of sound design and atmosphere. Where she once shaped dancefloors with deep and refined techno, her focus has now shifted to crafting immersive soundscapes and subtle, evolving beats—created entirely with modular synthesizers. Her music moves fluidly between texture and rhythm, blending experimental synthesis with a deep emotional core.
In 2024, Estroe is actively performing and releasing modular music, both solo and as part of a duo with Raaf Modular. She is also the driving force behind Rosedale Records, which relaunches with a fresh vision for modular-driven productions.
Beyond her own artistry, she is dedicated to coaching and education, mentoring at Music Conservatory Haarlem and integrating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into her work with artists navigating the pressures of the music industry.
With a career spanning decades, Estroe continues to evolve—always seeking new ways to express sound, emotion, and atmosphere.
