This is a special edit of I'm Back, and is ETAN's second time collaborating with Turbot Stunbeam, a mysterious musical entity from outer space. This time, Turbot remixed and edited not only the the music and production, but the lyrics too- as he sheds a light on ETAN's many identities as an artist, some of which are cleverly hidden in the original track as samples and double meanings. Turbot managed to amplify a deeper dimension of the song, opening with a sample from a Bill Clinton speech about the Middle East conflict, a sample which is hidden in the original song's Middle 8. 
ETAN was born and raised in London to Israeli parents till the age of 9, and then returned with them  to Tel Aviv in the 90's, when peace seemed possible. Needless to say this did not happen, and ETAN, a passionate believer in freedom of speech and equal rights for all, decided to move back to London and pursue her career as an Artist.

I wrote Growing Pains after feeling I am not "catching up"- I'm never where I'm "supposed" to be. For years I tried to recognise the voice in my head whenever it told me- if you haven't made it yet, you might as well give up now.  Giving up on becoming the person I wanted to be, meant giving up on myself entirely... but it seemed like there is only one accepted route and time frame for the chase. So, I kept shamefully hanging on to my dreams, secretly believing this is still my destiny. Through multiple personal setbacks, through trauma, through global madness, through identity crises. I wrapped myself and my desires carefully with cling film, waiting to break free when the time was right. But some things you can only learn yourself. And sometimes, every innocent piece of advice becomes a painful reminder that you still have mountains to climb. If you water me with drops of wisdom, experienced and vain... I will burn, I’ll never learn. ⁠
