Bonnie Spacey had her musical light bulb moment after hearing Miss Kittin & The Hacker for the first time. It was the turn of the millennium and this introduction led her to dive deeper and deeper into electronic music. 

When she eventually decided to pursue it herself, as a DJ and producer, she began to pair these sounds with another of her formative influences, her intrinsic love of guitars, which was passed down through her guitarist father. She explores the intersection of these sounds though indie dance, heady techno and dark disco, in both her DJ sets and her own output.

As a space to share her own music and those of likeminded artists, in 2019 she launched Critical Monday, a label dedicated to a club-ready concoction of techno and rock-orientated music. So far she's welcomed the likes of Curses, Damon Jee, Shubostar, Tony Y Not, Günce Aci and Mala Ika to the imprint, all of whom share her love of these potent sonics. 

As she jets off to Mexico on a tour, we locked her in for a mix which travels through whirring, driving wave, indie dance and hypnotic techno.

Mai is a Berlin/Istanbul based musician/producer/live act. It is a musical mirror to his journey, evolves and changes slowly through time. With a unique blend of indie dance music and Anatolian folk impressions, Mâi's music is both captivating and thought-provoking. Whether creating oriental soundscapes or driving disco beats, Mâi's music is always authentic and engaging. With a strong focus on visual and audio storytelling, Mâi’s live performances are an immersive experience that transport audiences to the narrow streets of Istanbul. Occasionally ornamenting with his soulful improvisations on the keyboard, his practice is the reflection of ‘what if’ questions and experimentations on creative points of contacts between sonic ideas. It doesn’t stick to any existing genre while always keeping a signature oriental essence.

Jabba 2.3  hails from Rennes, France where he's been deejaying for over two decades. He is one of the resident DJs of the "moon" indie parties and the Rennes "made.festival". His inspirations are : New Order, Giorgio Moroder, Patrick Cowley and Human League.

In the midst of the great heat of the city of Culiacán, the electronic sound that emerges at night has been taking diverse and stimulating forms thanks to the work of a group of young musicians. What happens in a place that seeks to escape from the dangers born of violence through creativity and dance? A group of boys seeks to create another possible perspective by feeling the harmony and vibrations of electronic music.

One of them is ROLIVA, a musical project by Ricardo Oliva, who has become a benchmark for electronic music in northern Mexico and the Sinaloan capital and has attracted the attention of pioneers of the genre such as Alexander Robotnick and innovators such as Justin Robertson. His music intervened with remixes by significant artists from the acclaimed Indie Dance/Dark Disco scene such as Damon Jee, Simple Symmetry, Alejandro Molinari, and Cabizbajo.

This is thanks to the multiple recordings that have been published through national and international record labels such as Duro, La Volta Ros, Roam, Night Noise, Dogs & Vultures, Nein, and NATIVO, his own insignia where together with his colleagues they provide a safe space for artists from the region and promote a new perspective of it.

Coming from the tradition of playing in Punk band projects, Roliva found in electronic music an opportunity to continue exploring the world musically speaking. The artist's sound takes many different forms that make his recordings and presentations a great experience, oscillating between nods to Disco, euphoria, dance, acid, and even the most intense and psychedelic sounds.

ETANE is an alias for Evgeniy Tanaisov, Russian-born Germany-based producer & DJ. He is the head of the @Intertrax music community & a co-curator of the @Oberwave community. Also, Etane is the founding member of a synthpop duo @GetsugaTenshou.

Balancing between (Dark) Disco, EBM, Acid Techno, and Trance ETANE refers listeners to musical aesthetics of the 80s, urban themes and esoteric, ethnic motives. 
As a solo act, ETANE has releases on @OmbraInternational, @SulkMagic, @SamoRecords, @LogicalRecords & @CriticalMondayRecords.

Throughout his DJ career ETANE has played at such venues as Moscow’s Mutabor, St.Petersburg’s Blank, Minsk’s Modul, Cologne's Artheater & Zugvøgel Festival sharing one stage with Kris Baha, La Mverte, Theus Mago, Séxstasy & others.
