Zvi: ...but the point is, I was sleeping until I woke up and realized what the hell is actually going on... and I didn't realize that I was so inward
 
me: mm-hmm
 
Zvi:...in everything that I was doing... and that the world really works better when you turn outward and you figure out ways to multiply... instead of trying to do a "this" for "that" you learn how to multiply the effects and you learn how to trust the energy that already comes off you and you learn how to introduce things, habits, sentiments into your realm so that your energy — when it comes out — and when your automatic responses — your automatic reactions in life — come out better than they did before
 
me: you, you have that on lock and, like, people need it — and you're right — people just aren't aware that it's an important thing
 
Zvi: — but it's also the effect of me meeting you... when you're tryna make people rich who cares about you and the way you wanna do it. Like, if they retain it is the most critical part, you know?
 
me: yaap
 
Zvi: And I feel like you already got the game of it. The real life consulting of it? Is like... lights out. Dude, one major thing I learned from you. Is that there's always a group of people who think your shit is good... who support your shit.
 
me: Yea... yaap.
 
Zvi: It's not gonna be everyone — that whole thing of, like, "you're not for everyone, not everyone's for you"... is because — that's what I learned from you... there is — I always thought, (for example) "Am I good looking or not [inaudible], right? Or am I smart or not, right?" But there is no such thing that's actually black and white...
 
me: NONE, yea.
 
Zvi:...when the truth is: some people will love your shit. And some people, for no reason, won't. So it doesn't matter. So the answer is automatically, "yes, you're good looking and yes, you're smart." (laughs) Now the rest is relativity.
 
me: Yea... so true, man. It's such a— it's a freeing way to view things
 
Zvi: Yes, in fact, that's the whole beauty of it. Once you accept that you are now, haha, "good looking and smart"; now you can forget about it and keep moving. One less thing to think about. And it doesn't hurt any to carry that around, right?
 
me: No, it doesn't, especially when you don't have any ill intentions... 'cause you don't project any ill intentions.
 
Zvi: When you get to this worldview, yeah...

me: You gotta go through all types of crazy stuff… We wouldn't wish any of these hardships on anybody

HAKIM: Never… 'cause you don't know if everybody can make it.

me: Yea, I don't think most people can. But that's life balancing itself out, too. So, it's like, the people who don't do it? They probably just can't handle it, at all. That's why they don't do it. 'Cause not everyone can make it through.

HAKIM: Yeah, it's so funny that you— that now I'm kind of, like… I understand why you pulled back from music in that way. I didn't really understand, man. I'll be honest with you, I didn't understand. But I really do now. I woke up with these thoughts in my head, like… "okay, the only thing that I know how to do, for the last 8 years, is do music to make my living. I don't want to do that anymore so what the fuck do I do?"

me: Yea, man. I questioned everything. And I questioned everything about myself and about the world to try to figure out "what do I want?! Like, what do I really WANT? Not what do I THINK I want…" And, man, It's very difficult to look at the things that you've put a lot of work into and time into and realize that you don't want that anymore.

HAKIM: It's really hard

me: Now, the good thing is that It's still a major— it's just getting to the core… So I still want to make music. It's just not "making music" for the same purpose that you thought you were going to make it for because that just doesn't make any sense to do that. It's playing a game I don't want to play.

HAKIM: It doesn't. It's a dead end.

me: So if I don't want to play that game, how do I— and I didn't know the answer. UNTIL I started— you know, studying the marketing… studying "marketing" is the best thing that's ever happened to me. Because it helped me understand how the world works behind the scenes and the psychology part helped me understand myself. But studying it— and I remember it vividly: There was a day me and Omari watched a video and [the guy] said "teaching = promotion". And the light bulb went off after maybe — that was before I moved to Brooklyn, so it's like maybe a year or 9 months into the journey of learning all this stuff — and it clicked for both of us. I was like "wow, that really is—… so I need to figure out what is the right way to go about helping people in the way that I want to do it". And I still did that wrong at first. 'Cause when you first come across that concept you start helping people for fake reasons. And so you have to work through— you start helping people and then you just kill yourself. 'Cause you're helping way too many people. And you hate yourself for spreading yourself too thin. And you're not actually enjoying it anymore. And THAT'S when I got to the B-MC shit, eventually. "Who can i work with that I enjoy working with and still make a lot of money?" The people who are like me and are willing to put in all the work, and really go hard with it, and see it through. Because everyone else seems to be giving up too early. And that's how I came across the 5%, B-MC shit. But that's the journey of it… man, it was difficult. Mad difficult. But did all of that make sense?

HAKIM: Yeah, it did. I mean, psychologically it's gonna take a little bit of effort. And for you in your position you gotta be very patient. Because, man, people have to go through their life processes in order to even get to the ready point.

me: Exactly and if you think about it, that's what I've done. That's me understanding that, man— I can't force… in the beginning I tried to push it to get people to understand what I understood quicker. Then I realized I can't do that because this is a literal life journey.
