Cleric hails from Manchester in the North of England and describes his precision designed, heavy techno tracks as a means to translate emotion to others; to transport his intuitive feel for timing, tension and sound engineering to listeners far and wide.

Over three tracks, Cleric's functional and tense take on the modern techno sound keeps things nicely restrained, loaded with kinetic energy and heavy potential for well-tuned sound systems. 'Pattern One', '…Two' and '…Three' each offer a different angle on a central theme, that revolves around sizable kick drums, crisp cutting hats and percussion, and smooth dub-themed synth elements that all dance in spacious unison. 

Len Faki also lends his hand to 'Pattern One', introducing a crafty breakdown to the proceedings and his trademark builds and cuts, completing this essential package.

Field Records is to release a two-CD compilation of music from the label's artists old and new entitled simply, Collection.

The first of three samplers features Acronym, Ben Buitendijk and Voiski. Acronym's track '16 Cygni' is a sci-fi bit of techno that is speedy, slick and intergalactic, whilst Ben Buitendijk offers up some Millsian, streamlined techno urgency with his 'Colourblind' and finally Voiski gets all elastic and industrial tinged with his whip lashing effort.

UK based Techno producer best known by his work on the Belgium based Token Records and whose style ranges from gritty minimal techno to Detroit influenced material. Originally a Mastering engineer, Ø[Phase] began producing as a sideline, releasing his debut 'Module Overload' on Steve Bicknell's Lost/Cosmic records in 2000. This was followed by a string of productions for London's Surface/Inceptive Records and Ben Sims Ingoma imprint, all of which saw consistent big name support throughout the techno community. He started working with Token in 2007 and since then his music has progressively gained more & more worldwide attention - most significantly on 2012's much acclaimed 'Binary Opposition' single and subsequent 'Reprocessed' remix package. Recent times have seen him remix for the likes of Robert Hood, Peter Van Hoesen & Mark Broom amongst others while avid support from Marcel Dettmann and Ben Klock have led to several appearances at Berghain in Berlin. Field Records embarks on a new mini trilogy of EPs that will present a magical journey through modern-day trance. First up in the series is Artefakt with their three track effort The Final Theory. Dutch producers Robin Koek and Nick Lapien make up Artefakt, and between them they excel at moody voodoo music on labels like Delsin and Field. 

They open this latest EP with the title track, a deep, spacious house roller with subtle pads and gentle acid that perform slow motion acrobatics for nearly ten minutes. It is suspensory, dreamy music that works on the head as well as the heel. Moving Horizon is then less doleful and introspective but just as deep, with sweeping pads add a sense of scale, busy drums bring the dynamism and icy percussive sounds adding a sense of urgency. Last but not least, Solaris is a fatter, more physical groove with claps and gloopy bass, acid flashes and trancey pads all fleshing out a lush and deep electro workout. This is heavenly stuff that cannot fail to get inside your head and heart.

@Marco_shuttle first caught our ear many years ago when we discovered his music the old fashioned way, picking up his Clone Store Only Series record at Halcyon in Brooklyn. This mysterious record led to becoming obsessed with his incredible, self-released podcasts that were floating around online at the time so we reached out to him and ended up working together to put his Fanfara EP out on our label in 2014, when he was almost unknown in North America. Since then, his music career has grown in leaps and bounds. He’s no longer at his day job in the fashion industry but tours and produces full-time, releasing albums on his own Eerie Records, Donato Dozzy and Neel’s Spazio Disponibile, as well as a string of killer EPs on several respected imprints. His productions and DJ skills have led to repeat bookings at Labyrinth Festival, Berghain, Concrete, Fabric, De School and just about everywhere else around the world where discerning heads congregate to hear great techno. 

When Marco was in Brooklyn to play an 8 hour set at The Bunker Limited earlier this year he played some new demos that stuck out as something exceptional, even by his very high standards, and we knew we had his next record on The Bunker New York ready to go. We’re psyched to present these intricate and detailed jams for your enjoyment in foggy dance floor corners. These tracks all have that unmistakable Marco Shuttle vibe with plenty of deliberate, slightly twisting melodies, shadowy disembodied echoing vocals courtesy of @gabriellavergilov that let your brain fill in the meaning, underpinned with punches of tautly layered rhythms.
