Post pandemic it feels like dancefloors are operating on a different kind of energy. The longing for elation and euphoria are center-stage again. Nostalgia and clinging to the sounds of yesteryear are probably part of the post-pandemic zeitgeist. Time to through the bludgeon into the dog kennel.

Coming in the club on Saturday afternoon, I was not really expecting anything. But as soon as I entered the door to the floor I could sense the energy and noticed that thanks to the DJ before me the floor was warmed up like a hot chocolate bun. This is great, as I would consider myself to be a diesel engine kind of DJ.

From the very first record on I felt completely at ease. Not the kind of tension that comes with serve-and-deliver sets, more like the happy kind of mood when unpacking presents.

What follows in the next four hours or so is some of my favourite music from some of my favourite artists, past and present. I tried to connect some dots of 40 years of dance music without making it sound like a history lesson. There are definitely the nods to the (queer) pioneers but also the newer generation of artists that deserve the spotlight.

So here it is. I hope you take some of this energy with you and spread it.

For every track I tried to come up with a liner note. I miss the days of having a physical record in my hands and being able to write little notes on them. In this form I like to share them with you again and try to give back and credit where the credit is due; the artists and labels that put out all this love for you to enjoy.

PUUUH! WHAT SHOULD I SAY?! WHAT A MORNING!
Here comes my set from Sisyphos Wintergarten on April, 16th 2023. My first time in this booth - and it was really one to remember. Taking on an already packed and energized dance floor, the vibe took me and I played my very own interpretation of disco - three hours of uplifting disco gems and house bangers from all around the globe, from old to new. Three hours flew by in the glimpse of a second and I could have played at least 5 hours more. I can't wait to be back - my heart is filled with love, my soul is full of passion, my head is full of ideas and my bag is full of awesome tunes I want to show you next time.
