Eternal Entropy was born in the outskirts of Ferrara, Italy, in 1989. The debut EP "Slaves" was released in 2016 and since then an unstoppable exploration has begun through the nuances of techno and electronic music, resulting in six additional EPs and one album - “Destination, Distraction” - released in 2024 by Funclab Records.
Eternal Entropy's musical influence extends beyond its own productions, with multiple appearances on NTS, a monthly residency on Radio Raheem Milano, as curator of the playlist series EE13122 through the year 2022, and providing the sound experience for the inauguration of Shaped by Water presented by Google, an immersive multi-space installation that explores our connection to water as humans and as a source of inspiration for design.

Open your mind to the euphoric landscapes of Eternal Entropy, the Italian duo deliver their 'Sinny' EP which contains two tracks displaying distinctive moods placed on different scales of the spectrum. Raw emotion and psychedelic frequencies, absorbing the listener. "Choodessny" takes the lead here with mysterious tones, broken drums spiralling you into the Eternal Entropy journey, shimmering pads glisten during the travel, this one is as uplifting as it is discerning. The melodies trickle past so smooth, and heavenly progressive chords twist and turn making this somewhat of a masterpiece.  A fresh angle from two aspiring talents, who are headed in the right direction if this fantastic EP is anything to go by.

'Choodessny' takes the lead here with mysterious tones, broken drums spiralling you in to the Eternal Entropy journey, shimmering pads glisten during the travel, this one is as uplifting as it is discerning. The melodies trickle past so smooth, and heavenly progressive chords twist and turn.

Taking it deeper with the second track 'Rockerfull' transcending vocals work their magic, flickering in and out of the melodic rhythms. Subtle, liquid like synths and robotic undertones lay firmly in the underbelly of this track, imagine a walk inside a dream.

Berlin. On May 8th, social distancing rules in the capital loosened, and so Miguel and a few friends met for the first time in months for dinner and some Twitch troubleshooting. 

That session turned into an 11 hour mix session, a portion of which was live-streamed on Twitch and hosted by Tim Sweeney's Beats in Space channel featuring EVA, Jasen Loveland, and Miguel.

This mix was captured after they shut off the stream, had some breakfast, and decided to ride months of pent up energy and a lengthy warmup behind them into the afternoon sun. The result is a fresh and wild mix of new favorites and old, played impatiently, without channel level EQ, and at times too fast.

Miguel has made his mark in dance music as a supporter and contributor through his time at Ghostly International as well as behind the decks — we hope you enjoy the mix that fueled a mischievous, socially awkward, tiny dance party.

Merge Layers comes out of the necessity and willingness to get people together, to go beyond the surface, being home to the mighty cultural human diversity reflected in the beloved shades of club tunes we’ve been curating and supporting 24/7. We feel touched about what’s happening, and highly aware of the complex interconnectedness surrounding racial issues, rooted in a society (everyone belongs to) that legitimates violence and oppression. But there is no room for doubts, so we would rather consider ourselves hypocritical than cynical. We are down with those fighting for their rights, despite the filter used to define them: color, religion, gender, job and any other filter deployed to endlessly discriminate while carrying on a distorted narrative that fuels separateness, whether it’s for you George today or tomorrow’s daily injustices within our communities. With extreme humbleness, making music it’s what naturally came from our guts and chest, therefore we’ve decided to join forces with all our fellows giving form to a collection of tracks supporting this message. For this reason, we’ve set up a special bandcamp page where you can go and contribute to the #BlackLivesMatter organization (via ActBlue) by purchasing this “CallToAction” release, all the profits will be entirely destined to their activities. Our commitment to the cause has no expiration date, the page will remain live forever, so that anywhere, anytime you could spend your bucks, pennies, yen or euros, on this, as a reminder as well as a means to keep the debate rolling. Nonetheless, as mentioned previously, we don’t need to lose the focus on what  the objective really is. If you feel like you could do more, both economically and socially speaking, go for it! Advocate for those who can’t, donate, educate yourself, but also the pals who just want to stay comfy in their bubbles, dig deeper, start from the small unseen insidious traps. We are not here to teach anything, we are not the ones sitting on a pedestal telling what you should or should not do, cause the truth is, that you know better than anyone else where the suffering, oppressions and unheard slaughters are…reach your inner consciousness.
