The Icelandic trio Ex.Girls follows up last year’s album VERK with the first of two thrilling remix EPs, SKEMMDAVERK. This initial release showcases an eclectic mix of Icelandic talents who are redefining the Icelandic soundscape with their unique interpretations. Atli Finns, from Sideproject, offers a lush jungle mix brimming with everything you desire from a jungle mix. In3dee takes it into the avanti-gardi with a three-dimensional hardcore softcore techno choke mix. Kraftgalli transports you to the countryside in Iceland, making you feel like you are by the rivers in Húsavík on a lot of Adderall, calm, but intense. Finally, we have Lafontain and his epic ecstasy jouney on "Halda Áfram," making it one of the most astonishing remixes in Iceland history. A crowd favorite from premiere at the Icelandic Buxur 2022. This EP is just great. Get it. Highly recommend.

Stuttgart shock broker Luca Daniel Schwarz has been firing and perspiring on all cylinders since he went public around 2016. Past form for the likes of Subwax BCN and Blue Hour have all shown a deadly instinct for modern variations on the techno tradition, and he keeps pushing at the form with a fine balance between playful disruption and poker-face propulsion.
 
'Business Influencer Theme' is a jagged bolt of hi-tech soul littered with crafty edits, luminescent synth strokes and a mid-section pep talk to get you match fit for the midnight power lunch. 'Portal Merge (Peak Mix)' leans towards the growling, subtly emotive brand of electro pioneered by the Weatherall-Tenniswood dream team, bolstered with modernist sound design flex and another canny helping of sliced-up word salad.
 
Forecasting at the intersection of social commentary and cutting-edge club clout with devastating clarity, LDS packs a lot into his wry, laser-focused motivational workouts. The outlook is weightier than a hedge fund manager's bloated bar tab.

Worst Records' hall of fame welcomes new faces around the pool for a 13-stages enlightened drama. You'll meet again with the top 3 podium made of A Strange Wedding, Jacques Satre and Christian Coiffure, all rensponsible for our first three releases, building up a mesmerizing, out of season mental workout. Extending the dimension of trance towards Saint-Etienne, Del.Duc brings on a curious yet serene astral travel, and we can also count on the distant reinforcements from the Toulouse Gouffre Club crew with Jan Loup and her glitch spangled hazy dub from far futures and the new trance comer from Bordeaux, Lazuli.
Special friends are also gathering here, as Myako is sewing on thin fabric a vaporous dub in shades of grey, the one-and-only master touki Théo Muller delivers a cinematic remedy to confinement.
Liberation through hearing, it is, as borders explode with the presence of many : Yin Yang Audio in a transatlantic IDM/break jump, Forest on Stasys (aka Mental Resonance) and his tough shamanic dance, Clemens Friedrich slowing down all senses at once and JEANS, boss of Oracle Bones, speeding us up in the hyperloop.
Finally, as teamwork means a lot, we have given the pleasure to open this compilation to the four-headed Lausanne/Freiberg hydra 4POTR and their cryptic transdimensional message, and the honor of closing this pool party to the 404 trio gem from Candoblé with a fine piece of wonder.

Not exactly your usual summer compilation, nor the hits you could imagine, but surely the music you'll need under the hot sun of 2020.
