Intersections On A Chessboard Vol. 2 is a new chapter of the improvisational project Echolot by Darina and Vitaliy Stromchinskiy. Continuing the line of the first installment, the release moves through processes of sonic deterritorialization: the music shifts into darker, industrial and noise-oriented zones, turning into a stream of intensities and acoustic ruptures. As before, all material was recorded in a single take using minimal equipment, emphasizing the raw texture and ritualistic character of the sound. At its core lie techno-shamanism, hypnotic vibrations, radio interference, and electromagnetic noise, forming a multilayered rhizomatic audio space. The release concludes with two studio solo bonus tracks, where each participant reveals their own trajectory of sonic exploration.

In the release you may find some sound artefacts, that were created during preparation to a live sessions. All the materials of the mini-album were prepared in home studio at one-shot, without after corrections, with use of Ableton Live, AudioMulch, and Max/MSP. Also were used field recordings, as well as multichannel classic guitar sound processing (tracks 1 and 4) and electromagnetic interference.

В релизе представлены некоторые звуковые артефакты, зафиксированные в результате подготовки к многочисленным лайв-перформансам. Весь материал мини-альбома был сыгран в домашней студии в один дубль без последующей редакции. В работе использовались среды Ableton Live, AudioMulch и Max/MSP. Также применялись полевые записи, многоканально обработанный звук классической гитары (1-й и 4-й треки) и электромагнитных помех.

Experimental electronics from France, Paris. Artist in the making but already an accomplished musician, DIMM explores the meanders of experimental sound like a musical David Lynch. With a rich musical past from violin through percussion to electronica, Dimitri Rousselot continues to explore the passion that never left him. His latest obsession is the creation of sound via vinyl destruction. With a box full of gramophone records and his MS20, he focuses on reinterpreting the discs with scratches, burns and other cracks so that we may discover hostile electronic soundscapes, rocked by a deep bass. ‘Noises from Mars’ is a litany that transports us along a journey of no return. From the red planet’s frigid landscape and hostile climate, we discover a troubling melancholic universe.
