A'bodq, commissioned by Dr. Jim Daughters and the Southeast Wind Symphony, is a piece that features a solo tambourine with band accompanist. The piece shows strong Arabic influences based off of their culture and musical style through the harmonic progression, scalular passages, and the main motive of the piece. The piece combines the use of western band techniques and the Arabic influence to create the work. The tambourine solo phrases were inspired by Deleclues's Snare Etudes I & V.

This was a theme written for TLP Productions for their upcoming animated trilogy taking place in the Star Wars Universe. This track was inspired by John William's Darth Sidious theme.

Dark Side Theme (2022)

This was a theme written for TLP Productions for their upcoming animated trilogy taking place in the Star Wars Universe. This is the love theme for Finn and his love interest. This also the rendition of the light theme.

Light/Love Theme (2022)

This track was written for a D&D home-brew storyline, "The Reckoning." This track was written for the use of cave atmospheric ambience during play.

Ice Cave (2022)

This track was written for a D&D home-brew storyline, "The Reckoning." This was written for the final session of the season where the players found themselves flying through a hellish landscape.

This track was written for an original D&D story entitled Waters of Vor Rukath presented by The Bards Table. This track was written for symbolizing an encounter that players will face.

Encounters (2023)

A Dreamscape is a work written for and commissioned by Thomas Landawee of CSU. Thomas is a good friend of mine and is a phenomenal musician. This piece is written in the style of a Dream Sequence, which is common percussion style for marimba solo literature. The piece captures that dream like state through the complex harmonies and freely written passages.

Across the Plains is a piece written for the professional chamber group, Eight Strings and a Whistle. The piece is an American work that embodies the adventures across the Great Plains of the United States. It utilizes the pentatonic scale and "American" chord progression to allow the American sound to come to the foreground. The piece is mostly in 3/4 time but does not sound like a traditional waltz. The piece is written for cello, viola, and flute.

Across The Plains for String Trio (2023)

Dressed in Black is a work written to pay an homage to the great James Reese Europe, one of the greatest band directors and composers in America's time. James was one of the most notable black band directors in the early 70s. He was in the military and was the commander and conductor of the 369th Infantry "Hell Fighters" Band in the U.S. He was also a great composer for band and composed lots of marches for his band.
     This piece depicts his life from the beginning to his unfortunate death by one of his percussionists during intermission of one of their concerts. His murder was in vein, and in this piece the listener can recognize that moment. During the dogfight, the low brass imitate the stabbing while the winds continue the scene of blood splatters and other nuances. The percussion section starts to play added rhythms and displaced accents which depicts the irregular time until the very last note. This piece was premiered on May 13th, 2023 by the Southeast Missouri State University Wind Symphony.

Dressed in Black (2023)

Spirits of Death Valley is a work for flute and orchestra. In the style of John Adams and his work "The Dharma at Big Sur," this piece explores "just intonation" and specific techniques that are considered extended such as portamento, slides, glissandi, pitch bends, etc. 
     This work depicts the myth and legend of the Miners and Mistresses in Death Valley. This is an urban legend in which the deserts of Death Valley hold secrets and one of those being roaming spirits from long ago. The flute's passages and slides help visualize the eerie picture of following a roaming spirit. The listener will hear an anvil play in certain sections of the movement and this is to imitate the miners still mining even in their bodiless forms. The movement ends with an unsure conclusion as the flute slides up to a high C using a glissando head joint while the piano and low brass continue to play an ostinato that is part of the miners theme.

Spirits Of Death Valley - Mvmt. I (2023)

A Desert Symphony is my first symphony written for wind band and pays an homage to my time in the Mojave Desert in California. I lived in a town called Joshua Tree for 10 years of my life and have experienced all the great things of the desert. This piece tells that story through three unmarked movements, Day, Afternoon, and Night. Each "movement" or setting can be heard by the changes in color, harmony, orchestration, mood, and melody. Each movement also contains the main theme in some form whether that be fragments, modulations, or phrase imitations. The piece ends with a grand conclusion that depicts the tension and release both in music and landscape. This work was written in 2022 and premiered in 2023 by the Jefferson College Wind Band.
