Day 5

This one is very different than the first four in most ways—it's shorter, it's slower, it's clunkier, it's more solemn. This is, I think, where we get to the crux of the theme. There's something in it that feels honest, that's not trying to be anything, that's just trying to tell it like it is. There's not a ton of dissonance save for the really colorful chords (to some, it may sound like dissonance), and it ends uncertainly. The clunkiness, or pulse, almost feels like time—it keeps going if you want it to or not, but sometimes it feels like time has stopped. Then at the end it feels HEAVY, with the repetition of the really low bass notes. I wonder if you have felt these things too.
