This is the best song I've heard from you, Ethan.  These are really well-crafted lyrics, your musical arrangement is interesting and slightly unexpected, but still accessible.  And you have a a solid melody line that's also not totally expected, but still feels accessible.  (I hate repeating the same adjective, but "accessible" seems accurate.)  You have great arrangement instincts, and I love the going up an octave on "cause we'd...wrong" on the last chorus.

Yes! that piano break is beautiful and I always love that hook "it takes a fool..." love that fun intro as well! so excited to hear your songs!
