My name is Dan aka Johnny Clash and I’ve been around for a while and I like and play all kinds of music. This is very much a jungle mix though not quite entirely and I believe it will take you on a journey, which is DJ talk for it’s a mess but I think it just about hangs together.

A big thank you to my good friend the lovely Uncommon Sense who introduced me to a few of the key players in this mix, and in fact was the one who brought Foot Long Records along to hear me play out. So it’s her fault. Shout out to my main northern hangout Stumblefunk ‘le fluff diabolique’ which has been the location, literally and emotionally (can I say spiritually? yeah, let’s say spiritually as well) for many of the shenanigans which have led up to this moment. Made up of Speaks & Ruff Tactics the British duo based on the East Coast of Australia who have been turning heads since 2011 with their signature "rough and smooth" brand of jungle and drum & bass.

Fast forward to 2023 and Tactical Aspect can proudly say they have music released on the legendary Reinforced Records as well as further appearances on DJ Trace's 117 imprint, AKO Beatz, Skeleton and Criterion to name a few.  2023 will see a host of upcoming releases on some familiar labels, as they keep busy in the studio it seems nothing can stop the duo from becoming one of Australia's finest exports.

After turning heads with his debut LP Club Dream released on NYC’s @dancedatarecords earlier this year, Konalgad now pivots into rawer, more psychedelic territory with Gazelle; a self-released six-track EP that dives deep into high-BPM trance states and hypnotic rave energy.

Rooted in tempos between 150–170 BPM, Gazelle blends four-to-the-floor propulsion with breakbeat chaos, centered around the hypnotic original track “Gazelle”. Its alternate versions, the “Tube” and “Liquid” mixes, bend that energy into darker, faster, and more fractured forms, evoking subterranean missions and dreamlike fugue states.

Composed between 2023-2025, Konalgad created Gazelle as a homage to his formative years immersed in trance, crafting a sound that’s both nostalgic and forward-facing, all while maintaining a clear-eyed vision for the dancefloor. With a sonic signature that hones in on rhythmic tension and emotional rave release, this EP is a bold, high-velocity statement from an artist deep in his own lane.
