This was one of the first tapes I bought - Got it off a stall at Erith Market in 92. Still have the tape and managed to find this by googling the tracks together and the word distortion - Which was the only word on the tape. Cover went years ago. Such a good selection and vibe. Captures the madness of it all back then.

'This week on The History of Jungle Show we welcome French DJ and Producers, Skwig and Qant onto the airwaves! Both hailing from Paris, Skwig and Qant met in the thick of the audio battlefield during 'La Dub War' which saw french bass producers battle it out last year, and also make essential connections.

They both released jungle cuts on Egregore Collective, a label which Qant is part of, as well as Repertoire's recent non profit compilation, 'Streetlight vol.1'. Skwig is also part of Vernacular Orchestra, a tentacular electronic band, and is featured on labels such as Le French Work and ABRI. Qant just made his Vibez'93 debut with a release titled 'Transgressive EP' and was recently featured on ABRI Catalog and Estranged Rec's.
