"Native Night" sung by my late dear friend, Sami Sargent. The song is written by Mitch Kess, and is from his musical "The Last American" written by Mitch Kess.  Sami was part of the cast of the show which was performed at Joe's Pub in NYC in 2002. I do not own the copyright to this song. I just wanted the world to be able to hear Sami's beautiful voice. RIP Sami Sargent.

Happy Now ( demo)

The story of an actual experience on a New Year's Eve at the old Chelsea Hotel in NYC.  After visiting a "chanting" group in an apartment there, with some friends, there was much excitement as the group's guru was going to be "visiting and speaking to the group". Somewhere around 11:30 pm, everyone gathered around a land line phone in the living room and when the phone rang, turned on the speakerphone.  This was their guru "visiting", on the phone that is, from his  convertible while on vacation in Palm Springs. He talked incomprehensibly for a while, then had to go as his steak dinner was waiting for him.

"From the waters above, to the waters below"...Curiously enough, I wrote this song  quite a while after I named the band. Kind of occurred to me what the band name could be about after we had it for a while.
