Nocho's inspiration comes from the beauty of things in life. Nostalgia, travel, sleepless nights become the raw material of an intense and mysterious music. Deep emotions that we find on his LP Constellations, which distills ambient and broken rhythms in a mixture as soft as solar. 
This bewitching project consolidates Nocho's unique style, confirming his work as an artist but also as a producer. Already supported by Red Rec, Langoustine Records, DLZ Records and Texture Recordings, it is this time at Ethos Records that Constellations comes to life. It is a privilege to welcome Ed Upton back to Shipwrec for his sixth release with the label. An artist who has been at the forefront of electronic music for three decades, under his well-honed DMX Krew guise the British musician has crafted icy electro, thoughtful electronica and textured techno. It is a combination of these styles that culminate in Tree in Space. A steady kick tethers “Parasite” to reality, a thick earthen melody countered by twinkling refrains as soaked drums splash. Off-centre bleep and beats introduce the title piece. Solid basslines are lightened by playful brassy electrofunk notes as genre limitations melt into Summer warmth. Skeletal scales find themselves confronted by a bruising bulwark of bass in “Unbelief.” Balancing these angular and globular tones are arcing keys that draw the disparate elements into unity. “Meltdown” is the closer. Blending a spread of sounds, acid, braindance and techno, DMX Krew serves up something truly special. Brooding notes are met by cracked percussion and simmering 303 squawk in a track that pursues its own path. An EP from a musician that continues to stretch boundaries and imaginations.

"Chemical Equilibrium" is a close and intricate relationship with Acid. Four tracks forged by the sound of the 303; compelling and aggressive electro pieces composed by Filatov during calm, peaceful moments. The track titles of this 4th EP on Ethos Records were drawn from scientific papers on acids, paying homage to the acidic bass synth. There's no grand idea, just a romantic story between Man and Machine.

"Voyager Solar System" offers an even more striking Cyclical Remix of the titular track "chemical equilibrium" that will twist your brain cells !

The sole objective in listening to this EP is to try to understand the origins of our feelings!

@bruitfantome . That's what we call tinnitus. It's a sometimes incessant whistling sound that comes unexpectedly and whose origin seems mysterious. It's also the name of an enigmatic character born from the sequencers of an MAO software and a love of jazz without reference points. 

And while Bruit Fantôme's rhythms are unfailingly precise, the punk spirit and elements of surprise intrude at every interstice of his music. With synthwave layers painted on broken kicks and nebulous acid melodies, he transports listeners into a space-time rift, heading for 80s Detroit.
