@sedefadasi's style is impossible to pin down. Embarking on her sonic journey, she fearlessly navigates her craft through a multifaceted universe of rhythms and genres, captivating dance floors with her everlasting groove and electrifying embrace. The best place to experience this rollercoaster is her own monthly HAMAM party at City club in Augsburg where she has invited plenty of international guests to join her. The Turkey-born, Germany-based artist is also a resident at Blitz Music Club and is set to join us at Dekmantel Selectors later in the summer, but first comes this week's podcast. 

It launches in seductive fashion with the moonlit deep house of Chicagoan Ben 'Cosmo' D then cruises through smooth but punchy grooves that stay low and bring hints of old-school cool in the basslines, stabs and drum breaks. Adasi's shift through the gears is almost imperceptible here as the pace quickens and the drums grow more physical. That is a testament to not only her smart selections but also to her ability to thread together these sounds quite so seamlessly.

This week we're delighted to welcome the HORS-SOL collective, made up of Jolly, Lastvuska, Maryu and Germain Cls, to our mix series for an energetic, club-oriented set, mixing organic and synthetic sounds with brio. 

A trio behind the decks when they perform as DJ acts, HORS-SOL distil a palette of progressive and euphoric sounds, inspired, when the party's in full swing, by tones drawn from the 90s and 2000s repertoires of progressive house, trance and techno, as well as more contemporary sounds.

An instigator of a light and benevolent vision of the night, the series of events and eponym collective regularly offer interludes of lightness in and around the French capital, with residencies at Le Trabendo in Paris and La Marbrerie in Montreuil, and now events in several European cities. You can catch them behind the decks this Friday at Le Trabendo, then at Le Macadam in Nantes on 16 March.

Jolly is a DJ, founder and co-artistic director of @hors-sol collective and party series based in Paris. His musical journey ranges from progressive house and trance to techno, with sounds and inspirations that are resolutely 90's & 2000's. Both retro-nostalgic and modern, Jolly juggles with intensity and emotions in order to offer both festive, atmospheric & introspective journeys on the dance-floor.

"With this mix, I wanted to convey a range of emotions that I like to play on a dancefloor. Both atmospheric and energetic. I projected myself onto a set I could have played at sunset in summer time, beside a lake sublimated by the rays of the setting sun. A suspended moment, where the sun and the floating emotions of the music become one, transporting the audience with euphoric gentleness and restraint."

Alex Kassian welcomed the first sunrise at Solar Village in 2023, and we can now listen back to his performance. He took Wonderers on a journey that started downtempo and slowly built his set out, marking a new direction for sunrise performances at our beloved venue. Stay tuned for more music to be released soon, but we can’t think of a better way to kick things off than Alex Kassian.
