Etreh, founded by Emrah Altınok (electric guitar) and Arda Engin (drums), has been making improvisational music since 2005. Inspired by the streets of Beyoğlu and Kadıköy in the 2000s, the band appeared on the stages of Peyote, Indigo and Gram Kadıköy for a while and is back on stage after 10 years. Taking part in collaborative projects, workshops and concerts with artists such as Christoph Hofferl and The Zonnhaider's Club, the band has a musical approach based on repetition and simplicity, leaning towards progressive / psychedelic rock themes. The band insists on a rebellious and gregarious improvisational practice that seeks music in atmosphere rather than structure, tending towards error and glitches while remaining in clean tones.
