The original parts were sampled from a live recording which I've made during their tour in Germany in April 2015. A beautiful and dubby combination of indonesian and australian roots-music.

Kula Kangri

My mate Etsuro, the coolest Shamisen player around, lately sent me some material of his recent solo album " 9 Stories ". Since we met on his tour in Germany this is quite my favourite japanese instrument. For the first edit i´ve chosen one of the traditional songs and added some heavy beats, bass, percussion and a flute.

Cada obra oferece uma determinada impressão da nova arte eletrônica, ora se enveredando por estéticas já consagradas, ora buscando novos caminhos possíveis. O ponto de encontro é a conquista de um novo espaço onde ritmos e expressões culturais sobressaem a esfera regional. 

A nossa região comum é a música da natureza, os cantos escondidos da Terra e o som que ecoa com o silêncio. 

A paz e a sinergia dão lugar aos novos rituais eletrônicos. A expressão cultural abre espaço pra conversa com a pluralidade. 


English: The Tropical Twista Records presents its second compilation, gathering artists for a musical journey through cultural and sonorous experimentations. In this record we present 15 tracks of big artists from Brazil, Argentina, China, United States and Germany, harmonically permeating and creating a context of latin, african, brazilian and oriental themes, sharing a scenario where music and ethnical plurality influentiate our relation with the environment. 

Each work offers a certain impression of the new electronic art, either travelling through already consecrated aesthetics or pursuing new possible paths. 

The meeting point is the conquer of a new space where rhythms and cultural expressions go further beyond the regional sphere. 

Our common region is the music of the nature, the hidden chants of the Earth and the sound that echoes with the silence. 

The peace and the synergy give way to the new electronic rituals. The cultural expression open space to a dialogue with the plurality.

Wuppertal/Germany based DJ/producer Baru serves us the next mixtape of the INNER SUNSET TAPE podcast, a bangin' mix flying around the globe from Asia to America, featuring lots of string sounds and a smoky-lofi-blues- folk-character and he take us on a trip through dub, triphop, tropical, global and folclore blended in electronic music and showcase many of his own productions&edits, all in just over two hours. Baru likes that noisy background, the crackles, the needle sound, the raw stuff, the imperfect sounds to make it more human somehow after all "we aren't robots!" he says.
Baru is also one of those who manages the Klangkosmos NRW  which members of the network represent the diversity of the local cultural scene and he runs GlobalBeats' parties as well. He has started with heavy beats, mixed shortly, then slowly relaxing the situation but same time rising the tempo till it gets danceable. Bpm range from 70 up to 115, so grab your headphones and tune into this outstanding mix cause the energy stays high here! See ya!
