Captain Planet is back yet again on Bastard Jazz for a digital EP following up his "Esperanto Slang" album - the "More Slang EP". Riding the big success of their initial collaboration together, Captain and Chico Mann reunite for "Aguacero", a bumping, shimmering mid-tempo house track with Chico's signature vocals riding the beat. Up and coming Los Angeles producers London Bridge come correct with a big room, floor smashing remix of "Un Poquito Mas", while Global Bass ambassador Thornato takes "S.S. Esfahan" into bass heavy Middle Eastern dub territory, complete with a little slide guitar for good measure. Rounding out the pack, San Francisco's Deejay Theory gives "In The Gray" a shimmering, uptempo Dancehall rework sure to light up the dance!

Taken from their highly acclaimed album Radio Retaliation which was originally released on their label ESL, El Pueblo Unido gets the remix treatment courtesy of Miguel Migs who delivers some creatively thoughtful reinterpretations of the song.

With plenty of live instrumentation including a healthy dose of layered percussion and a smooth horn riff, warm synth chords and deep bouncing basslines are all showcased here along with cut-up and dubbed out vocal snippets for a balance of depth and dimension.

High level production values, steady grooves, complex yet subtle arrangements and well crafted musicianship are all featured here in this lovely package.
