EUAN LYNN - Loyd's Gross, Man

Around the time of the demolition of the Trinity Square car park and shopping complex in Gateshead, designed in 1962 by Rodney Gordon of the Owen Luder Partnership, Owen Luder was invited to Gateshead by the council to witness the beginning of the demolition. My dad works in PR at the council, and so was asked to do an interview with him, to be used in some council material. I'm not sure if it was ever used - if it was, it was only small snippets - but I'm lucky enough to have been given the original files, so that it can be heard in its entirety now for the first time. My dad is not expert on architecture (and doesn't claim to be) but Owen Luder offers up some interesting insights.

First sort of song from my OP-1. Had lots of fun making noisy samples with my Monotron, Casio VL-Tone and the radio function. Also some guitar thrown in for good measure.

My brother unearthed a tape with a recording we made when I was about 11 of Teenage Kicks by The Undertones. I sang and played bass - he played guitar. My Yamaha keyboard played the drums.

This was performed on 13/3/20 at the opening night of the exhibition Scramble at Pineapple Black, Middlesbrough, where the work was first presented. This work is an improvisation on 3 sequences, played on 3 synthesisers. Equipment used: Moog Grandmother, MakeNoise 0-Coast, Arturia Keystep, Korg MS-20 Mini, Korg SQ-1. This recording was made via the mixing desk.
