No matter how or when we interact with music, it's the hallmark to many important moments in our lives. This is a smooth jazz track. "Heart to Earth" is a funky instrumental. American saxophonist Kevon Scott delivers a stirring solo in this tune. With the planet in need of some serious TLC, the song seeks to evoke a dialogue about the environment.
The composition required an urgent sound in the style of Gato Barbieri. A funky electric clavinet has been added to give it a strong rhythmic feel.

Chasing Shadows - This is a composition written with Gregory Porter in mind. I was therefore looking for a great baritone crooner when I discovered Miles Elliot. The song is a jazz ballad with a haunting tenor sax weaving itself through the song. I brought in Matteo Passarelli to add a wonderful piano part.  Sax - Mark Douthit. Mica Franco provided a harmony in the chorus. Mixed by Joe Sage at Nevis Audio in Liverpool.

I have a powerful and moving story to share with you.

Terry and Paula Bullent have lived a life touched by art, by teaching, and by a kind of creative partnership that leaves a mark on the people around them. Terry unfortunately now has advanced stages of Parkinson’s.

Paula, has written the most beautiful poem about their relationship. She has poured so much emotion and clarity into a poem about their shared journey… that alone is extraordinary.

I felt that spark strongly enough to translate it into music — to give her words another life, another medium, another way for people to feel what she expressed. 

As an act of care, friendship, and artistic respect. Collaborating with Ethan, we believe we have created something truly stirring.

The final piece carries the weight of a lifetime, the fragility of the present moment, and the strength of a bond that endures through it all.

“Clown Prince of Rock ’n Roll” is a tribute-style song celebrating the wit, chaos, and charm of Joe Walsh, the legendary guitarist known for his solo work and his tenure with the Eagles. The lyrics cleverly stitch together nods to Walsh’s famous albums, song titles, and signature themes—Life’s Been Good, A Life of Illusion, You Bought It, You Name It, The Confessor, Rocky Mountain Way, and his self-deprecating “ordinary average guy” persona.
