Las sesiones de Funky Mosquito son esperadas en este programa por las sorpresas que nos depara en cada nuevo recorrido por su colección de viniles. En este nuevo show nos introduce al mundo del Boogaloo un ritmo originado en los años 50 y 60 entre la comunidad cubana y puertorriqueña de Estados Unidos. Se nutre de Soul, Funk, R&B, Mambo, Samba y es totalmente adictivo en la pista de baile.

"Yeaahh es momento de escuchar rare-grooves de culto con una sesión especial dedicada al Latin Boogaloo Jazz. Todas las canciones han sido extraídas de vinilos por lo tanto es un set análogo. Veronica Elton presents "El Baile de la Tetelcinga", the second single from her next album "Zapateando", dedicated to the traditional dances of her native Morelos.

"El Baile de la Tetelcinga" incorporates melodies from the Tetelcinga Dance, which alludes to the indigenous people of Tetelcingo. They preserve their pre-Hispanic traditions such as the women's clothing used in this dance, whose name is “chincuete", a word of origin in Olmec.

Veronica Elton's third album will be called "Zapateando" and will appear on Euforia Records during 2023. In the tracks, she uses melodies from traditional music that accompanies the dances of her native state of Morelos, to recreate them in different styles of electronic music.
Veronica Elton is a versatile electronic artist who has ventured into genres such as Progressive House, Nu Disco, Melodic Techno, and House, in addition to experimenting with the fusion of traditional music and electronic music and dabbling in sound design for a play, which was the basis of her previous album, in which we find melancholic and delirious tracks.

ZAPATEANDO is a musical project by Veronica Elton aimed at promoting the traditions of her native state of Morelos, through an electronic music reinterpretation of the music accompanying traditional dances from this mexican state. This project offers a contemporary perspective on tradition, utilizing new forms of musical production provided by technology.

The state of Morelos is known as the land of Zapata, and ZAPATEANDO provides a sonic journey through the musical traditions of this land, reinvented with various styles of electronic music, where dance or "zapateo" remains an expression of identity. The first volume of this musical project includes five tracks that are part of Morelos' cultural identity.

"El Baile de la Tetelcinga" alludes to the indigenous village of Tetelcingo. "Los Vaqueritos Groovies" revisits the dance of the "vaqueritos," which portrays life in the countryside and celebrates the importance of agriculture for the community. "Entre Moros y Cristianos" evokes the dance of the Moors and Christians, which dramatizes the confrontation between these two cultures. "La Danza de Xochipitzahuatl" refers to the eponymous dance of Nahua origin, used in various ritual contexts such as attracting rain, health, and harvests. "El Silbido del Tecuani" is a dance that represents the confrontation between man and jaguar through a dramatized story.
