Ovidiu Gabriel is the real name of the young man who loves to provide energy to music enthusiasts. Growing up in an environment surrounded by music, he studied guitar and piano from a young age and then a few years ago flirted with electronic music as a DJ under the name O'vi. Attracted by famous bands like Depeche Mode, he approaches different electronic styles with musical harmony in a house rhythm with vintage sounds, that creates a dialogue between the past and the present, which delights listeners, whether they are in a club or at an outdoor festival. O'vi excels in art, creating a rich auditory experience with a melodic line in his performances that resonates with a subtle nostalgia for analog sounds, while maintaining freshness and relevance in the contemporary scene. The experience of organizing events under projects such as Breathe Concept and Movie Sound has developed a special perspective when it comes to the atmosphere that you have to offer through the quality of the artistic act. The time and dedication he invests in the moments at the lectern fills him as well as the audience with emotion and joy.

"Acid Mondays join us again for a vinyl and digital release, an EP packed full with their unique musical experimentation and daring productions which has seen them release on infamous labels such as 2020Vision, Circus and most recently in 2015 One Records with their 'Schlurptastic' EP. At R&P we think of ourselves as a platform for artists and producers to ask questions and push the boundaries of electronic music, Acid Mondays are the perfect example of this. Acid Mondays original track 'Chi Ka Pasa' as well as their '5D Mix' & 'Dub Mix' of the original track shows their impeccable production control. Rolling bongos are set against loose shimmers and rattles which are sporadically interrupted by short sharp keys and haunting, whispering vocals that we hear throughout the EP. One thing I love about these tracks is they are so versatile, I can see them being played around the world at various venues by different artists and I am really looking forward to dropping them on the terrace at DC10 this summer.

Joining Acid Mondays on 'Chi Ka Pasa,' with two reworks, is the highly talented (and Toi Toi favourite), Ion Ludwig. With releases on Lick My Deck, Meandar Music and Trelik Ion has proved his ability time and time again. His two mix's of Acid Mondays original track 'Chi Ka Pasa' bring new meanings and a new story to the tracks. His 'Progmix II', which will only be released on vinyl, brings a more direct and percussive element to the track, whilst his digital 'Progmantra Mix' creates a hazy atmospheric essence. The addition of distant sirens and a grooving bubbling bassline allow our minds and bodies to move, whilst still controlled by vocals and mystery.

The balance of Acid Mondays and Ion Ludwig is one of delicate, intricate productions with exciting experimentation and musical evolution. The forward thinking aspects on this EP are in line with both my own and Rockets & Ponies style, ambition and creativity. Listen to it, see if we are wrong!"

The piece moves between weightlessness and grounding, where soft textures and subtle pulse create a steady, unhurried flow. What feels quiet at the surface continues beneath, unfolding gently over time without urgency or intensity.

This is music for awareness rather than attention — a space where breath, thought, and motion settle into balance. The rhythm, when it appears, supports the atmosphere rather than leading it, allowing the listener to remain present and unforced.

Root opens the dance with a solid groove and immediately immerses the audience in a soft, melodious and psychedelic trance, spiced up with bizarre and dissonant hits. Indistinct murmurs have a cerebral impact, supported by an incredibly lively and precise bass.
A flute comes to guide the spectator in his shamanic journey, time dilates on a suspended atmosphere, and more and more contrasts offer an unprecedented sensory experience. We witness a fluid succession of sound paintings, the groove remains powerful, flawless and yet constantly enriched with subtle variations. The elements dialogue with each other brilliantly, as we slide into an organic abstraction.
Between mischievous and energetic, the journey continues with tracks that are each more interesting than the other, real playgrounds for the ramblings of the mind. Surprises await the audience at the turn, with electric guitars and surrealist dialogues.
The complex and beautiful rhythmic sustain the most seasoned ears until the end of the set, all with an exceptional narration.
