Three decades after Eugene's pointed political commentary on his "Headless Heroes of the Apocalypse" and "Outlaw" albums, the release of "Alien" in 2004 served as a reminder that the problems had not gone away. And in 2019, the issues and influence of unchecked power and money at the highest levels of our government that Eugene wrote about in "Alien" are exponentially and demonstrably more dangerous.

Perfect For Me

Eugene (aka Gene) McDaniels is a legendary musical artist, songwriter, and producer. In the early 1960s his hit songs were "Hundred Pounds of Clay," and "Tower of Strength." His songwriting credits include the massive hits "Compared to What," made a number #1 hit by Les McCann and Eddie Harris,  re-released in 2010 by John Legend and The Roots, and "Feel Like Makin' Love," the R&B hit by Roberta Flack. In 2011, Gene continues to publish, record, produce, and write songs. On July 29, 2011, Gene passed into the "Sweet Forever" he so often wrote and sang about.
