With a unique sonic identity and prolific work rate, he has firmly cemented himself as a champion of the genre. Now Colorize is delighted to present 'Progressions', the second studio album from Matt Fax!

'Progressions' is the culmination of three successful years for the young musician after releasing his debut album 'Contrast' in 2017, during which he has released critically-acclaimed, successful singles that have resulted in tens of million of streams and spins on SiriusXM, BBC Radio 1 and Radio FG. He has received praise from fellow industry leaders including Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Lane 8 and Chris Lake and he launched the inaugural, ambitious Colorscapes series with Colorize label-mate Dezza in 2019. This is all while touring the world from Europe to Japan to the US, playing standout events like ASOT 900 and Electronic Family in the Netherlands and embarking on a three month tour of the US with Jason Ross.

'Progressions' is a bold, expansive exploration of progressive house music, on which Matt Fax pushes boundaries and proves his polished, mesmerising sound is second-to-none. His second album sees the youthful producer emerge with a confident, assured approach, his experience allowing him to effortlessly craft fresh, breathtaking prog anthems that swell from nuanced to grandiose. With truly stellar production across the project with its finely-calibrated synth textures, banging, refined bass and an inescapable, relentless groove, Matt Fax finds a luscious sweet spot across these seventeen tracks.

Featuring singles including the driving 'Animal' with singer / songwriter Trove, the marauding, ethereal ambiance of 'The Wave' with Ava Silver, and throbbing and vocal-heavy production 'Set Your Sails' with duo RBBTS, Matt Fax employs contributions from a collection of exciting collaborators to great effect, punctuating the album precisely between his dynamic solo efforts. These include two mammoth anthems, 'The Greatest Thing' with Grammy nominated singer / songwriter Richard Bedford and 'Artificial', a stirring collaboration with friend and Trance legend BT. Mixed with the prog house bangers are transcendent ambient moments that refocus the listener, making this a delightfully cohesive and accessible dance album.

Colorize's annual compilation series 'Colorscapes' returned for Volume Two at the start of October and saw strong success, landing at #3 on the iTunes dance chart and generating quite the buzz. Now Colorize brings you the first sampler from the compilation, highlighting some of its most exciting tracks.

Opening the sampler is British DJ / Producer Boxer with 'Feels' - he's been a household name on Colorize for the past few years and this stellar new production with vocals from Kate Walsh showcases his enormous growth as an artist, with his distinctive mix of deep and progressive house on fine display.
Belarusian producer Heard Right graces the sampler with his slick collaboration 'Oceans' with OAI - airy bells and darting synths making it an exceptional delight from the two.

Released in October 2020, Colorscapes Volume Two saw PRAANA, Dezza and Matt Fax bring three thrilling mixes to the fore, showcasing some of the hottest acts in the worlds of melodic, progressive and deep house. 

Sampler Two brings you six more of the compilation's highlight cuts, starting with two Dezza remixes - Vancouver producer Bryn Liedl puts his spin on 'Cosmos', the eponymous track from Dezza's 2019 album, reworking it into a driving, emphatically upbeat romp, and British producer djimboh keeps things dreamy and polished on his remix of recent Dezza single 'Getaway'.

GRAMMY-nominated producer Mat Zo unveils ‘Petrushka’, the latest single from his recent album ‘Illusion Of Depth’.
 
‘Illusion Of Depth’, released last October, was a pick-n’-mix of styles. It begins with the brash ‘In Media Res’, next, an ode to 90’s warehouse techno: ‘The Next Chapter’ featuring legendary Jungle/DnB MC, GQ. Then, all of a sudden, ‘Love Songs’ and some French filter house. And now, ‘Petrushka’, which sees Zo revisit his trance music roots.
 
Mat Zo broke onto the scene in 2008 and has been causing an uproar ever since. In the early 00’s, he penned Anjunabeats classics like ‘The Lost’ and ‘Synapse Dynamics’ which were far ahead of their time. They were followed by the likes of ‘Superman’, ‘The Sky’, and ‘Rebound’ (with Arty). He pushed the Anjunabeats sound to the mainstage, racking up spins from Pete Tong, Axwell, and Armin van Buuren. 
 
It was his GRAMMY-nominated debut album ‘Damage Control’ that fully showcased Mat’s avant-garde approach in 2013. Featuring break-out hit ‘Easy’ with close friend Porter Robinson, the track took Mat mainstream: a Radio 1 A-List addition, Sirius XM BPM listing, a #1 Billboard Heatseeking record, an Essential Mix of the year nomination, and, ultimately, a GRAMMY nom for the best electronic album.  

Since the album’s release, Mat has taken his ‘Illusion of Depth’ tour online, hosting a series of virtual raves in Minecraft with support from up-and-comers like Olan, Qrion, Fatum, Nox Vahn and David West.
