Diving into a sonic exploration across the Purified spectrum, Purified Records presents its first edition of Purified Selections. Shining a light on up-and-coming talent, this 11-track compilation ebbs and flows across a diverse soundscape. Opening with a powerful, cinematic cut ‘Existence’ by NASTAVI and flowing into Chris Luno’s brooding ‘Another World’, the compilation is compelling from the get-go. Moving into a lofty dimension, Enigmatic ‘Fractal Dreams’ and Heard Right & Floa ‘Tokyo’ perfectly encapsulate the imprint’s essence. Moving in a slightly deeper direction, Initial Eyes ‘Like Pictures On A Screen’ and Namatjira’s ‘Katsu’ flaunt reverberating basslines juxtaposed with scintillating synths. Soaring into a mystical realm with Boy North ‘A.D.I.A.’, Callum Can’t Sleep ‘Wave Of Waters’, Enigmatic ‘Keralian Town’, and Boy North ‘Break Me’, listeners are transported into pure sonic bliss with soothing instrumental arrangements. Dropping the tempo, Callum Can’t Sleep’s ‘Andara’ draws Purified Selections to a close, allowing listeners to unwind and bask in the compilation’s aura.

David Ciekanski AKA Matt Fax has transformed the world of progressive house, rising from underground star to a leading figure in the scene. With a unique sonic identity and prolific work rate, he has firmly cemented himself as a champion of the genre. Now Colorize is delighted to present 'Progressions', the second studio album from Matt Fax!

'Progressions' is the culmination of three successful years for the young musician after releasing his debut album 'Contrast' in 2017, during which he has released critically-acclaimed, successful singles that have resulted in tens of million of streams and spins on SiriusXM, BBC Radio 1 and Radio FG. He has received praise from fellow industry leaders including Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Lane 8 and Chris Lake and he launched the inaugural, ambitious Colorscapes series with Colorize label-mate Dezza in 2019. This is all while touring the world from Europe to Japan to the US, playing standout events like ASOT 900 and Electronic Family in the Netherlands and embarking on a three month tour of the US with Jason Ross.

'Progressions' is a bold, expansive exploration of progressive house music, on which Matt Fax pushes boundaries and proves his polished, mesmerising sound is second-to-none. His second album sees the youthful producer emerge with a confident, assured approach, his experience allowing him to effortlessly craft fresh, breathtaking prog anthems that swell from nuanced to grandiose. With truly stellar production across the project with its finely-calibrated synth textures, banging, refined bass and an inescapable, relentless groove, Matt Fax finds a luscious sweet spot across these seventeen tracks.

Featuring singles including the driving 'Animal' with singer / songwriter Trove, the marauding, ethereal ambiance of 'The Wave' with Ava Silver, and throbbing and vocal-heavy production 'Set Your Sails' with duo RBBTS, Matt Fax employs contributions from a collection of exciting collaborators to great effect, punctuating the album precisely between his dynamic solo efforts. These include two mammoth anthems, 'The Greatest Thing' with Grammy nominated singer / songwriter Richard Bedford and 'Artificial', a stirring collaboration with friend and Trance legend BT. Mixed with the prog house bangers are transcendent ambient moments that refocus the listener, making this a delightfully cohesive and accessible dance album.

From Matt Fax: 'This album marks a brand new era for me. It showcases a darker and a more melancholic sound than what I've been releasing so far, it totally defines me as the person I am today. I wanted to push the boundaries of my sound and explore new territories I couldn't explore previously due of my lack of knowledge. I worked a full year, almost 24/7, on 60+ tracks to be able to select the best of the best to put on the record'.

Earlier this year, Anjunadeep welcomed Jon Gurd to the label with his first single ‘Together’, taken off of his album ‘Lion’, out now. 

After gaining support from Solomun, Stephan Bodzin, Ramon Tapia, Icarus, Matthias Meyer, Tinlicker, and many more, ’Together’ now receives the remix treatment from British compatriot Tom Demac. Renown for his smooth arrangements, Demac has remixed the likes of Tourist, Metronomy, Maribou State, Roisin Murphy, Edu Imbernon, James Welsh and BANKS. Here, Demac imparts his velvety sound design to Gurd’s powerful original, introducing a heavenly chord progression and classic house groove.  

Dedicated to his older brother, Jon Gurd’s ‘Lion’ is the culmination of his experiences as a brother and father; his encounters with loss, and his subsequent progression as an artist and human being. ‘Lion’ is out now.

The first sampler from Colorscapes Volume Two is here!

Colorize's annual compilation series 'Colorscapes' returned for Volume Two at the start of October and saw strong success, landing at #3 on the iTunes dance chart and generating quite the buzz. Now Colorize brings you the first sampler from the compilation, highlighting some of its most exciting tracks.

Opening the sampler is British DJ / Producer Boxer with 'Feels' - he's been a household name on Colorize for the past few years and this stellar new production with vocals from Kate Walsh showcases his enormous growth as an artist, with his distinctive mix of deep and progressive house on fine display.
Belarusian producer Heard Right graces the sampler with his slick collaboration 'Oceans' with OAI - airy bells and darting synths making it an exceptional delight from the two. 

We also have debut releases on the label from a host of exciting artists - Australian DJ / Producer Tygris brings ethereal production 'Dark Sun' to the fore, we get the full vocal version of mesmerising track 'Division' from Alex Breitling, Che-Yung makes a splash with his sublime, finely-calibrated track 'Rainy Sleep' and Swedish producer Klur conjures up a transporting remix of Cabriolet Paris' 'Cloudwalker'.

Colorize brings you the second sampler from Volume Two of Colorscapes!

Released in October 2020, Colorscapes Volume Two saw PRAANA, Dezza and Matt Fax bring three thrilling mixes to the fore, showcasing some of the hottest acts in the worlds of melodic, progressive and deep house. 

Sampler Two brings you six more of the compilation's highlight cuts, starting with two Dezza remixes - Vancouver producer Bryn Liedl puts his spin on 'Cosmos', the eponymous track from Dezza's 2019 album, reworking it into a driving, emphatically upbeat romp, and British producer djimboh keeps things dreamy and polished on his remix of recent Dezza single 'Getaway'. 

We also see Colorize debuts from a host of exciting artists - the pairing of producers Fløa and OAI conjure up a melancholic prog production with 'You Are', and Morgin Madison and Meeting Molly join forces for the airy and ethereal 'Step By Step'. 

Jackarta impress with 'Hang Loose', a soothing, spaced out production that finds an exceptional balance between deep and progressive, and ANUQRAM and Eugene Becker close proceedings with invigorating track 'Lavaredo'.
