New Century Mall

A properly mastered version of the track I remixed in my previous track, New Century Mall. The stuff I've learned while working on this track should feed directly into new projects moving forward. I was flat-out ignoring the mastering step with my older music, which is why it often sounds so inconsistent. Well, I also picked up a pair of MDR-7506s, which are absolutely amazing for getting better-balanced mixes.

This is the first project available under the public domain dedication (CC0) license in my new music folder here. More than just stems, this includes all instruments, samples, and synth presets used:

As a late entry in the 2000s motion control market, Futami aimed to distance themselves from competitors by adopting a hybrid console system where controllers were not required. Futami sourced many of the tracks used in their games from the GO! CD music library. In fact, this Skysurfin' Breaks CD was the inspiration for Skysurf GX and its rhythm-centric gameplay."

Well, not really, but I tend to frame my tracks in a fictional context because it's fun.
