Italians go to the polls on 25 September 2022 to renew their parliament in an election that, in the face of a still-divided left, will probably largely favour far-right parties. A few days after Sweden's shift to the hard-right, Giorgia Meloni’s Fratelli d'Italia (Brothers of Italy), a far-right political party born of nostalgia for Mussolini, is expected to make a major breakthrough, along with her ally Matteo Salvini of Liga Nord.
