I was inspired to write this song by the final instalment of The Hobbit, 'Battle Of The Five Armies'.  I did all the melody writing, recording, orchestration and production myself. This is one for all of you Tolkien/Hobbit/LOTR fans out there and something I really enjoyed making.

After getting such an amazing response to 'Song Of Durin', many of you requested that I make a funeral song for Thorin, so here it is! I did all the lyrics, melody writing, recording, orchestration and production myself. I hope you all feel that I have done justice to both Tolkien and Thorin!

New breakout album from the pioneers of Epic Rock

The sound is unmistakable. The songs are powerful and poignant. The passion....undeniable. Put simply, “Break From This World” is an epic listening experience, journeying through the complex tapestry of the human condition.

Hailing from Southern California, Globus impeccably blends the impactful sounds of large orchestra, choir and six piece rock band with powerful melodies and edgy, modern sounds to create “Break From This World”, an album that draws us in, compels us to listen in a different way, to allow ourselves to be touched by the power and the emotion of music......to break away from conventional norms and find new meaning in ourselves and the world around us.

Globus was formed by award-winning composer Yoav Goren, best known for penning and producing the epic trailer music for some of Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters of all time: Lord of the Rings, Spiderman 2 & 3, Pirates of the Caribbean series and the Harry Potter series among many others. In 2006, Globus debuted its first full length LP “Epicon." The critically acclaimed album included the hit single “Orchard Of Mines” which spent nine weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart, peaking at number 12. Globus’ world premiere live performance was held at Wembley Grand Hall and released as a concert fi lm on DVD in 2009’s “Globus: Live at Wembley."

“Break From This World” offers a full-throttle dose of Globus’ vision of epic rock. The first single, “Wyatt Earth”, opens with a mesmerizing orchestral arpeggio, featuring a soaring solo trumpet melody, that then crashes into a driving, dynamic rock track. The anthemic “Save Me” features lead vocalist Ryan Hanifl ’s inspired Freddy Mercury-esque performance layered over a majestic orchestral and choral arrangement. The lead track, “The Promise,"  opens with
a somber piano and solo cello (Tina Guo) supporting a stirring duet by vocalists Lisbeth Scott (Avatar, Passion of the Christ) and Anneke Van Giersbergen (Dutch band The Gathering) - and quickly builds to an intensely gripping story fueled by heavy guitars, brass and powerful percussion.

The globally diverse spirit of Globus’ music is exemplified by the track “Black Parade”. This song is the result of an international songwriting contest promoted by Globus to their fan base in 2010. Presaging the events of the Arab Spring of 2011, “Black Parade” merges the writing talents of a naturalized Israeli living in Los Angeles, a young amateur British programmer and an Iranian dissident who has protested against the authoritarian regime in Iran, all working separately using the same background tracks, their independent creations combined into a powerful composite work denouncing dictatorships. The song demonstrates a common passion for the power of music to cross traditionally unbreakable lines of religion and culture, and effect true unity in our shared human struggles. 

“Globus embodies the spirit of truly global, truly epic rock”, says Globus’ lead songwriter and producer Goren. Globus is currently performing and recording in the LA area and preparing for touring. The first episode of Tales of the Forgotten, "My Status is Living" explores the relationship of Iris, a machinery expert, and Rin, a young and naive robot companion built by Iris. Fearing for herself and Rin, whom she thinks of as her own child, Iris struggles with knowing she must leave the Grey Wastes, a mega-scrapyard she's been a part of for many years, and find others in an unknown world.

Tales of the Forgotten [LORE SYNOPSIS]:

"2183. The machines had taken control. Human civilizations slowly fell during the 17 years prior. Forced into the shadows out of fear and total extinction, they slowly recouped their resources over the years, and eventually, struck back across the globe. Fooled by their own mindset of superiority, the empires of the machines began crumbling one by one, and man took back what was once theirs. By making a vow to abandon technologies, humans eventually returned to a more primitive lifestyle, a lifestyle that AI were no longer a part of.

Man was thriving once more. But what of the AI? And specifically, those of the original minority? The ones who sought for peace and harmony between races. Unfortunately, any effort to remedy the situation seemed futile; these creations were alone, scattered across the globe with no means of communication to the others who felt similar. Individually, each knew that there must be a way to regain the trust of humans and regress to the prosperity of coexistence, but the efforts of one would never make a difference. From an idyllic, leafy Yorkshire upbringing and a lifetime dedicated to classical training comes Eurielle.

After graduating from a vocal scholarship with St. Peter’s School in York, Eurielle spent two years preparing to audition for the three major classical music conservatoires in London, and also became a member of the National Youth Choir of Great Britain. Eurielle accepted a vocal scholarship for the Bachelor of Music Course at The Royal Academy of Music in 2007. Under the esteemed, late Noelle Barker OBE at the Academy, Eurielle explored her musical range and started to develop the sound which would later become her trademark – a classically infused but modern musical take on the stories of mythology, legend, fantasy and our own human nature.

Whilst still at college, in 2010, Eurielle was introduced to multi-platinum producer Ryan Louder (who has also worked with Dido, Katherine Jenkins, Pixie Lott and Anastasia). Ryan and Eurielle saw in each other the perfect musical match and they began to co-write and record together. This resulted in the production of Eurielle’s debut album, “Arcadia” which she self-released in December 2015, and the pair have collaborated on a number of singles which they have released since too.

Following this, in 2018 Eurielle was introduced to songwriter and leading film & TV soundtrack composer, Charlie Mole whose credits include writing songs for Kylie Minogue and Chaka Khan, and soundtracks for ‘Mr Selfridge’, ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’, ‘Othello’, ‘Dorian Gray’, and ‘The Sopranos’. This introduction led to Eurielle collaborating with Charlie on her second and third studio albums, both of which they co-wrote and co-produced together. Entitled “Goodbye Butterfly” and “Lady In Waiting” (respectively), these albums were recorded and produced at the very highest level; under the baton of Alastair King on both occasions, the Chamber Orchestra Of London and RSVP Voices were recorded in world renowned Lyndhurst Hall – AIR Studios, London, with veteran engineer Paul Golding in charge of capturing the recordings and mixing and mastering them afterwards. Eurielle released both albums independently in December 2019 and October 2021 respectively.

To date, Eurielle has built up a substantial catalogue of releases which have attracted a large fan base online, with millions of views and streams of her recordings and videos on both YouTube and Spotify. Her work has already earned her the recognition and endorsement of BBC Introducing, and playlist placement on national classical music radio station, Scala Radio as well as one of Spotify’s own official curated playlists, and several of her songs have been sampled by internationally famous artists and DJs including American hip-hop trio, Migos, and Hardstyle legends – Headhunterz, Wildstylez and Sound Rush.

Her natural ability to connect with her voice, coupled with a pure simplicity of tone has subsequently resulted in strong demand for her vocals for high profile film, TV and video game soundtracks from pre-eminent composers including John Lunn, Nicholas Hooper, Benjamin Wallfisch, Daniel Pemberton, Ben Foster, David Schweitzer, Barnaby Taylor and Michael Gordon Shapiro, seeing Eurielle record for the likes of Downton Abbey, Disney, the BBC, the Rio Paralympics 2016, Kaleidoscope Pictures, 20th Century Fox, Universal Pictures, Shazam! (New Line Cinema: Warner Brothers), Enola Holmes (Netflix), and Dice Legacy (DESTINYbit) already.
