Dieses Mal geht es im Schocktober-Podcast ab in die typische US-Kleinstadtidylle der 50er- und 80er-Jahre. Doch Achtung: Von der vermeintlichen Heile-Welt-Romantik sollte man sich nicht zu sehr ablenken lassen. Weshalb? Weil in den drei Filmen des BLOB-Franchises ein glibberiges Wesen aus dem All sein tödliches Unwesen treibt und alles auf seinem Weg verschlingt. Nur die Kälte kann ihm etwas anhaben!

Passend dazu behalten Christoph, Florian und Khalil einen kühlen Kopf, wenn sie über die Reihe und deren interessanten Zeitkapsel-Faktor sprechen. Aber aufgepasst: Wenn schließlich die Diskussion aufkommt, ob die Streifen nach wie vor noch sehenswert sind, geht es durchaus heiß her!

Christoph, Sam und Podgast Daniel Gores vom BULLETS & FISTS -Podcast werfen einen genauen und Gag-gefüllten Blick auf den Mann mit den Klingenhandschuhen. Oder entpuppt sich der Teil bei genauerem Blick als cineastischer Blender? Christoph, Florian, Sam und Khalil tauchen in den 80er-Jahre-Horrorkult ein, der die weitere Richtung der Reihe vorgab. Plus: Bonus-Entdeckungen bei der politisch – und übersetzungstechnisch – nicht so korrekten Synchronisation.
