Titre : Un habitant de Torre Pellice en Piémont interprète une chanson de gens de mer, ''Adieu mon beau navire au grand mât pavoisé'' 
Commentaire : Robert Tagliero explique le sujet de cette chanson : un vieux capitaine trop âgé pour voyager. Puis il la chante a capella. L'homme dit adieu à son navire avec regrets. L'enregistrement est coupé et reprend sur un chant sans que nous soyons sûrs qu'il s'agisse de la suite du morceau. L'informateur explique l'existence de ce type de chant dans les montagnes de part l'émigration des travailleurs piémontais vers la côte d'Azur.

Commentaire : Le chanteur interprète cette supplique au Dieu de la mer pour échapper au naufrage. Les marins envoient leurs louanges à Neptune en voyant venir l'orage.

Incipit littéraire : Dans les bras de ta mère fais bien vite dodo / S'en savoir que ton père s'en est allé sur l'eau
Commentaire : L'informateur chante cette berceuse traitant des craintes d'une mère pour son fils, dont le père est pêcheur. Elle craint qu'il ne devienne à son tour marin et parte sur les flots redoutés. L'informateur explique avoir appris cette chanson auprès d'un médecin de la région qui en connaît plusieurs autres et chante souvent lors de fêtes familiales.

Commentaire	: L'informateur interprète cette chanson relatant le dialogue entre un homme et une bâtelière qui repousse ses avances. Elle explique préférer son bateau à ''tous les honneurs du chateau''. Avec l'aide de l'enquêteur, l'informateur continue son chant.

Titre : Interprétation de la chanson ''Batelière avec ton bateau voudrais-tu me passer l'eau'' dans un montage sur les chansons d'amour réalisé par l'enquêteur pour un article sur les chansons populaires en Val Germanasca
Incipit littéraire : Batelière avec ton bateau, voudrais-tu me passer l'eau ? Te passer l'eau, te passer la rivière ?
Commentaire : Un ancien mineur du Piémont interprète une des chansons de son cahier. Elle traite de l'histoire d'un homme voulant passer une rivière sur la barque d'une batelière et ne se tenant pas sagement en chemin. Un dialogue s'engage entre les deux : la fille repousse l'homme et finit par lui voler son argent.

Titre : Un ancien mineur de Villa-di-Prali en Piémont chante ''Parlant du pont Roquefavour''
Incipit littéraire : Sur le pont Roquefavour / Grand Dieu quelle merveille / L'eau de la Durance chaque jour coulera partout à Marseille
Commentaire	: L'informatrice, dans le fil de la conversation, cite une chanson. L'enquêteur dit qu'il ne la connaît pas et lui demande plus d'explications. L'informatrice récite alors les paroles de la chanson en donnant, pour certaines strophes, sa traduction et des explications en français. Les interlocuteurs commentent la beauté et la tristesse de la chanson. Puis l'informatrice entame le chant dans son entier d'une voix légère et gracile. La chanson traite de l'aventure d'un jeune homme désirant partir en Amérique et demandant à sa mère les moyens d'y parvenir. Mais, malgré les mises en garde de sa mère, celui-ci meurt pendant la traversée.
