Im so happy to finally share with you my latest EP 'Idiom' out now on Merkaba Music. Comprising of field recordings taken from south America, South-East Asia and other parts of the world, it takes the listener on a spacious journey through downtempo rhythms, dubby bass and world music with a progressive feel. 
Idiom (meaning a characteristic mode of expression in music or art) delivers textured synthetic and organic instruments, fused together with Rute's iconic broken beat, uplifting, bass laden grooves, provoking imagery of shimmering rivers flowing through the vast rainforests and that which inhabits it. 
While providing a balanced contrast between the dark murky depths and the ethereal light within, Idiom is sure to breathe a captivating atmosphere into the present, inside and out.

Spiral Roots is a connection between organic sounds and mystical vibes. Roots connecting us with our home - Earth, spirals with higher dimensions, trough artists using elements of ancient music for channeling the songs that transcends time and fuses with highly intelligent electronic music production. It’s telling us a story that brings us closer to the reality of our ancestors and plant intelligence, as well as divine spark in all of creation. These squishy organic masterpieces put their listeners into a trance state of mind by combining the very best of ancient and contemporary. Amazing soundscapes of faraway lands, jungles and animals mixed with groovy beats, intelligent glitchy FX and lots of melodies that form bridge between “then” and “now”. Traveling through the hallucinatory layers of mystic and psychedelic organic dub sounds, this compilation brings us on a path of organic bridge created between the roots of the Earth and our existence

Source notes:
- In February 2019 I was building a completely different song which included these percussion grooves from Kursten. At some point I solo'd the acoustic percussion group and realized that its groove could be taken in another direction. I saved a new version of the project, deleted everything but the hand drums, and started over from there - Strong Tea was born.
- Many of the strange chirps and bloops were created using free VSTs from xoxos including oscine tract, synger, and kl tract, all of which I downloaded more than a decade ago.
- The vocal samples that got sliced up for this track came from a collection I downloaded on Freesound in 2008. Thanks Katy, whoever you are!
