The vacuum cleaner and the gong went out together for a meal. The meal went on and on. The gong and vacuum cleaner conversed enjoyably. Weather, politics, personal relationships. The gong became quite animated. Its voice becoming increasingly higher pitched. Sonar Sam, as had been previously arranged, took a seat and told a story of derring-do at sea. He illustrated it with a selection of sonar sounds. The vacuum cleaner, much impressed, started sucking increasingly vigorously. So much so that the other two backed away slightly, afraid that he would explode. Thankfully, he let off a bit of steam and then slowly calmed down. I could continue with this gripping dinner event but I'll leave them to it.
