Reka X Imperial Black Unit - Todo Avaricia

‘Todo Avaricia’ by Reka and the duo Imperial Black Unit is the result of an immediate and natural connection forged between the three artists, through a jam session that swiftly and intuitively yielded three tracks of stylistically diverse yet demonstrably cohesive sounds. Featuring the sampled voices of Che Cuevara, Pablo Neruda and original vocals by Reka herself, the EP plays the role of an urgent call to action against political and environmental injustice, conveyed via the musical substrate of new beat, industrial and EBM, fused into a landscape of techno and undeniably constructed for the dancefloor. The EP is rounded off with a heavy-hitting remix of the title track by the prolific Umwelt, in his signature dramatic style.

The incredibly talented Romanian artist, Miruna Boruzescu, better known as Borusiade, is set to release her sophomore album via Dark Entries Records on February 7th. 
‘Fortunate Isolation’ LP is perhaps Borusiade’s most personal release to date. Eight songs that capture a bystander witnessing the world as it undergoes drastic changes. 
The closing track of the LP - ‘Follow’ is a slow intergalactic burner which, by all feels, sounds like it’s opening the portal to another galaxy from ‘Fortunate Isolation.’ We are excited to hear where Borusiade takes us from here, and we’ll follow her in the next journey she takes us.

Everyone of us wants to live forever, but more than half do not know what they gonna do at thursday evening, we are like those passengers who have gathered so many things with us that we forgot what lies at the bottom of the suitcase, and when we arrive at our destination, we find needless things in our luggage, same with our past, we don’t remember what it was and where we squander our experiences, memories and feelings, we are just passengers here, we are just passing through. 
Greek artist June makes his debut on Mannequin Records with the 'Silver Demon' LP. The album explores a futuristic dystopian world where transcendence and oppression coexist, where claustrophobia and infinite openness coincide. A world of contrasts that is the product of the artist‘s active imagination and conscious effort to confront the subconscious.
The album was recorded using original techniques from the golden era of electronic music (late 70s to mid 80s) with an arsenal of vintage analog synthesizers, drum machines and effect processors originating from the same time period. Today we present the Orphx remix of “You Like It When It Hurts”, which takes the original and infuses the Canadian duo’s signature metallic, industrialized sound to create a tension building piece which beautifully catalyzes with Years of Denial’s dark romanticism.  The release also includes remixes from Silent Servant, Alexey Volkov and Broken English Club. Definitely a strong companion to an already smash album.

He hadn't slept for days, though it felt more like weeks. Life had become a constant waking dream, observed through bleary heavy lidded eyes. Nothing seemed to help, he'd tried every method he could but pills, drugs and counting sheep had no effect. Days were nights and nights were days, a cycle he believed could no longer be broken. A constant feeling of being barely alive... 

Power Station boss Kris Baha lands on Emotional Especial for his debut 12" after dropping two remixes for previous label releases from Sfire and Red Axes. The producer and DJ, known for his heady club take on EBM, post-punk and EBM, has previously put out records with Bahnsteig 23, Pinkman and CockTail d'Amore, the latter imprint being the home for his debut album Palais at the end of the last year. 'Barely Alive' is a return to Kris' band roots and a step away from the club ready tracks he's become known for. Taking on remix duties are Especial regular Timothy Fairplay, the legendary Das Ding and Knekelhuis affiliate Job Sifre who provides an infectious remix that calls on his influences in electro and new wave.

Die Wilde Jagd – Himmelfahrten - Single Version

The new release from Aspecto Humano brings us a 12-inch by Gravedad Cinética, Electro project by Barcelona's Adrián Costa AKA Groovycosta. After publishing on some digital labels, Gravedad Cinética presents Aspecto Humano with Le Flâneur Spatial. 

Five tracks with Electro as the main protagonist, although it's not the only one. Lines with blunt bass, a variety of arpeggios and outer space melodies, are all combined with 808 drums. It's kinetic music that creates a retro-futurist sound landscape with a touch of classic Techno. 

The vinyl will be in stores in the first two weeks of April. It has been mastered by Alden Tyrell and will be distributed as usual by Bordello a Parigi. 

This is a 300 copy edition on 140 gram black vinyl, in black card outer sleeve and black paper inner sleeve.

The lead track taken from this EP contains lyrics that go “Fly on there’s a ride, past the fire burning bright…. blah blah blah”. You get the drift right ? It’s throwback, , it’s a stab at indie-pop, brit-rock, shoe gaze and some other non-sensical musical genre terminology, it’s a nod to the 90’s (which we grew up in) But most of all, it’s honestly what we felt like making. Suddenly the idea of making ‘songs’ didn’t only seem so far away from us, it was literally in the same room. Turn this idea into something tangible and you get what we are presenting here…

So, as we step out into the unknown - feet firmly planted on the ground beneath us - we are happy to finally set this music free. From our minds, through our hands, to our computers and down the pipe on to the wonderful web, here it comes… Ride on dear listener, there is a light

This digital release consists of 12 tracks made by artists who immediately responded to the call and created...love! Now it is in our hands to spread it.

Today we are excited to premiere the track 'Are You Afraid' by Years of Denial, included in the release. A powerful synth line and a heavy kick punished by the imposing and heart- shaking voice of Barkosina,  bringing to mind empty streets, filled with scared and broken humans. 

Caring in Bristol statement:

We need your support more than ever because whilst you are in the relative safety of your home, isolated and protected, those experiencing homelessness are at great risk and extremely vulnerable.

This is perhaps one of the most important letters that I have ever had to write. We are in unprecedented times with the COVID-19 pandemic having a profound effect on everyone and all the things we take for granted. Like a home to call our own, a sofa to put our feet up on, friends and family.

The team at Caring in Bristol are working at maximum capacity to help avert a catastrophe for vulnerable people in our community. Our services are adapting and changing in the face of continual uncertainty, but we are keeping the needs of those without homes and a safety net at the very front of what we do with their needs more exposed than ever before.

Services in Bristol have become strained, some to the point of closure but Caring in Bristol remain committed to being there for our city’s most vulnerable and we will do whatever we can to ensure those people who need our support get it.
