Il y a quelques mois, je retrouvai David Keler, un ami musicien, auteur compositeur , en échangeant sur la scène pop française, je lui partageai mon enthousiasme pour le travail de Malik Djoudi dont j'apprécie particulièrement l'univers, nous avons donc commis en fin de confinement cette reprise que Malik interprète en compagnie de Juliette Armanet.
 Même si ce track ne trouve pas sa place sur un label, il trouvera certainement des oreilles sensibles pour l'écouter. Sit and listen :-)

This mix was recorded for Le Transmetteur, a Radio show curated by french duet Get a Room on their weekly programme on Radio Nova, it is a blend of balearic & italo-disco including a few unreleased tracks by Jpye (Orizzonte) , Eva Peel & Marc FK club (Isola)  with their new project La Notte di Parigi.

TRANSMETTEUR feat Eva Peel

I wrote this song during the second lockdown while I was staying in Marseille, getting away from Paris toxic atmosphere.
I have always had a strong relationship with that city for decades, it's always been a place of  friendship and inspiration for me, linking me also to Italy, its language and pop culture. Marseille -in italian Marsiglia is a melting pot where all foreign cultures are welcome and this song is both a tribute to the beauty of the city and the love that was in my heart at that time.
I want to thank two friends David Keler & Mahadev Ok who have helped me make an arrangement and above all, to record the song.
 Enjoy this song as much as I enjoy to walk in the streets of a city that will always lead you to the sea and to your heart.

Le vent d'hiver souffle en Avril...
Il y a 3 ans jour pour jour disparaissait Christophe, un des maestro de la pop française, capable de jouer avec Alan Vega-chantre du rock  comme de faire un concert à la Villa Médicis au piano en reprenant les standards de son repertoire. 
Franco-italien, le dernier des Bevilacqua était un dandy autant qu'un voyou, cinéphile et obsédé par le son, c'était un éternel enfant au regard perdu- comme sa voix noyé dans la reverb dont il faisait un usage immodéré. 
Après un disque de reprise toujours disponible sur Bandcamp, "Christophe de jour comme de Nuit" DDR 004-  j'ai souhaité poursuivre mon hommage à cet artiste qui m'a accompagné durant tout le confinement.
Notre nouveau projet avec David Keler, un duo de pop en français et en anglais était l'occasion de rester un peu en suspension avec lui.

Deviant Discorama #1 - Rex Club Paris

This mix was recorded at our second Deviant Disco party at Rex Club in october . This warm-up is mainly a blend of various dance tracks going from recent releases to some older italo disco references. Deviant Discorama #4 - Rex Club Paris

Our new project with David Keler Deviant Romance -acoustic versions of several french and international pop songs, soon on our Soundcloud.
David Keler is a long time composer and arranger who has worked on several projects. Eva Peel had another duet Theremynt and has collaborated with several musician such as Mike Theis and Mark FK Club for a project called la Notte. They meet trough their mutual friend Mahadev Ok and start collaborating on a synth pop repertoire. They're also creating their own songs.

Enregistré peu avant le décès du chanteur mythique  de Taxi Girl Daniel Darc, cette version anglaise du fameux titre P-a-r-i-s est sorti sur un tribute à Daniel Darc en édition limitée sur le label Unknown pleasures records. 
Musicien et producteur prolixe, Mike Theis a développé plusieurs projets dont GYRLS et Dams & Herren avec Eva Peel qui chante sur ce track.
Il est également à la tête du label Yuk-Fu et collabore avec Nicolas Ker pour le projet Paris.
Eva Peel est chanteuse & DJ, elle a crée le collectif et label Deviant Disco en 2014 et travaille avec plusieurs musiciens. Marc FK Club pour le projet La Notte qui a fait suite a Theremynt, son ancienne formation en compagnie de Yann Richard et David Keler avec lequel elle collabore sur Deviant Romance, un duo synth pop .

Au moment du décès du chanteur Daniel Darc, une compilation réunissant plusieurs artistes de la scène pop rock a vu le jour sous le nom de Tribute à Daniel Darc, sortie en vinyle (un 7 inch en édition limitée surle label Unknown pleasure), figurait déjà la reprise du
 P-A-R-I-S enregistré en anglais avec Mike Theis. Les voix ont été enregistré chez Mike et l'arrangement  de ce track est signé Peter Rainman. When  french singer from 80's band Taxi Girl deceased, a compilation was launched by Unknown pleasure records gathering a few artists from the pop rock scene. After a cover in english on the song
 P-A-R-I-S, we recorded another cover of Je suis déjà parti with my friend Mike -arrangement by Peter Rainman, artist such as Daniel are very unique, he was both poet and a singer- more people like Daniel are needed.

This recording is like a soundtrack for the summer -tribute to mediterranean sea resorts between the french Riviera (Nice, Marseille), Italian islands (Sicily, Sardegna), mainly italian composers from the 70's & 80's and more contemporary musicians. Also featuring a few original tracks composed with some friends of mine -Jpye aka Gianfilippo Altieri and my long time partner Mike Theis who produced a couple of balearic tracks for our party at Mucem in 2019.
