I am messing around with a few different ideas here, needs much distilling and also melody lines.  Enjoying the comic nature of it.

I wrote this while viewing the epically tragic footage of the Tsunamis in Japan this morning.  More of an underscore.   Supersad.

Recorded some drums to a cassette 4 track, then mixed through outboard and edited a bit.

OosiK is an Austin/Seattle duo.  Branden Harper plays drums/ percussion and Evan Schiller handles the analog synths, samplers and filters.  Songs begin as real-time rhythm-based improvisation, then tweaked and distilled ad infinitum till they hatch into alien creatures.

Thanks for listening to my entry in the Soma contest.  Only sounds used are from the Soma sample pack of Pulsar-23, Dvina, and Pipe.  I also played acoustic drums and cymbals on it.
