first track i have released by myself in a long time. i've written a lot of music over the past 5-7 years, but i have never felt anything is good enough, or pure enough to share with others. i feel like i need to get it properly recorded, or mixed or mastered by someone professional... i need someone else to write a better part, or add to it, or bring some musicianship to whatever it is that i'm doing...

but, at the same time, i have a fascination and connection with music that feels like it's organic, jeff buckley, early circa survive (or audience of one), early demos of as tall as lions and other b-sides or (what feels like) half done projects released by musicians i look up to. there's something special about that awareness, and rawness, to an idea, and being able to listen to that recorded, to be a part of that "moment" where a musician goes "that just came out of me, i just created that out of nowhere, and that came out awesome... yeah.". i've only had a few moments like this in creating music myself and when i have felt that feeling, i've felt immensely fulfilled and, some other feeling of joy that i can't really describe.

as a listener. i never felt i would be able to write something "as pure" or "natural" as any of these artists, i never felt i would feel confident enough to release something half baked... but... thinking about this walking home tonight, after a session of old thursday and as tall as lions this morning, i found myself listening to a song i had recorded a few month ago, and thinking to myself "this is actually really nice, by itself, how it is", and that's just my opinion(maybe because i wrote it)but, that's good enough, and maybe that's worth sharing. maybe this is a thing i've created, and it's great how it is, it is actually one of those "moments" for me, as an entire piece of music that was thrown together in a few hours, and then "rough" vocals thrown over the top as an idea. 
but. that could be it. maybe that's all it needs to be...
