Evan Short, aka Kiljoy, is a kiwi pioneer of the Drum n Bass movement, with 25 years of producing the toughest grooves and nastiest tunes under his belt. Having once been a founding member of Concord Dawn, he now strives to break new ground in old territory with a return to his roots and a passion to explore undiscovered treasures within it. Pushing a Techstep / Jungle edge with a modern twist, playing and making the sound he loves.
Recent releases on Function Records point to Kiljoy having one foot firmly within the Jungle tradition and another seeking the future.

An absolute expert behind the decks, having previously toured the world extensively, DJing all over the United States, Europe and South Pacific including events like Big Day Out (NZ), Kings of the Rollers (Germany), Fabric Live (UK), Renegade Hardware (UK) and more as well as guest mix slots on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2 and Ministry of Sound.

His latest musical productions have been picked up by DnB royalty; Digital on his Function Records imprint, with forthcoming music, EPs and an album, artists like Digital, John B, DJ Storm, DJ Trace, DJ Craze, Bailey and more have been playing his music, receiving props from the likes of Metalheadz Goldie as well as catching the eye of some other genre shaping DnB imprints.
