Hello. My name is Erik, and my Friends call me Woodz. I'm about to be 30 years old on May 27th, 2025. And boy, do I got a story to tell. Let's start in the near present. 

On October 1st, 2022, I was on vacation with a roommate of mine to celebrate his older sisters birthday. From what I've been told, we went down to the pool, then went from that area to the pool to the bar to get more drinks. Apparently I sat in the one short without caution tape there. Otherwise, of there was caution tape, I wouldn't have fallen 20+ feet and now living with Major Nuero Cognitive disorder. I like to say that I'm thriving, not only surviving.

I was a good man who liked to have a good time. I am a better Man now. I was a virtual software sales representative, and I did damn good at it, I was making 4-6 grand per month based on my commission for that pay period. I was making a minimum of 4k a month. That's pretty damn good, considering how hard I had to work and the struggles I had to endure to get there.

Without this guy, either Safe Space would still be on my phone sounding janky or I'd share it with the world sounding janky. That ain't how I roll. I'm not a perfectionist. I'm an optimal optimist. 

I told someone who I idolize and respect that " The streets bout to Learn about Woodz." I mean that in the most respectful way possible, I did not grow up in the streets but the streets brought us gangster rap. I just want to be understood.

If I'm going to tell my whole story, it wouldn't be Just to not share my first Trauma. On May 18th 2017, it was just a normal day. I was going to CrossFit at the time and after my workout at 6pm my guys were supposed to be in my garage with the studio already set up and at work already. LLSB is an acronym my that team and I use that stands for Long Live Steezy Badd. Well, Steez brought a gun to this session. I believe he pointed it at us jokingly. What I'm about to say ain't no joke. It's MY real life story. But during that session, I laid a verse on a track, I was listening to it with that sound protector silver thing that goes around recording microphones, so I wasn't able to see it. Thank God. 

I still remember crying my eyes out and laughing hysterically when my counselor at Golden West College told me I only needed like 2 or3 more classes to apply to transfer. I also still remember that I was on a trip to Massachusetts to visit family when I got the email that I've been accepted to Transfer to Cal State Long Beach. Shit still makes me cry as I'm typing this. All three while finding a way to make time to master my craft. I can talk for days and days. So I'll just begin to rap it up.

I've been through a lot and I believe I'm still here because my Job isn't finished. I believe the purpose for there remainder of my time on this Earth... Isn't that ironic? The only thing guaranteed in life, is Death? Any who, I feel my job, or my outreach, is meant to be great to inspire greatness in others and be an inspiration and father figure to those without father's. In Jesus Name.Amen !
