This month on the SPACE podcast, we're sharing a collection of live tracks from artists who have recently performed at the club. British singer-songwriter Rumer has been compared to Dusty Springfield and Joni Mitchell. Listen to her ode to American life, "Pizza And Pinball." New York City songwriter Anthony D'Amato delivers his "Ballad Of The Undecided" with all the determined gusto of a 1960s Greenwich Village folk singer. Pacific Northwest sister trio Joseph tackle honesty in a new song. "I know I'm pretending, but I try to have an answer," the sisters sing in amazing harmony. The charming wit of Nashville songwriter Cory Branan comes on strong in his song "A Girl Named GO," a nugget from his 2006 album, 12 Songs. Bay Area songwriter-bandleader Chuck Prophet takes the audience for a wild ride along with his Mission Express band on "Tell Me Anything (Turn To Gold)." Last up, violinist Anne Harris features guitarist-singer Dave Herrero on the electronic-laced "Fallen," which the duo performed at a sold-out studio show earlier this year. SPACE Radio Ep. 5

On this month’s edition of SPACE Radio’s podcast, we’ve got another great roundup of artists. Canadian sibling band The Bros. Landreth have been making waves north of the border, and are starting to build a reputation for their impressive harmonies, songwriting and musicianship in the States. Here they treat us to a live version of their song “Tappin’ On The Glass.” Singer and songwriter Suzy Bogguss lit up the country charts in the ’90s with a string of award-winning albums. The story-song “Eat at Joe’s,” from Voices In The Wind, reveals her playful side. New York’s PigPen Theater Co. has achieved a rare feat, doubling as a successful theater group and a musical band. Check out their song “Weathervane,” which they performed during two packed-house shows in May. Milwaukee-based songwriter Field Report closes out this month’s podcast with his song “Enchantment.”

Our latest podcast features six great performances captured live from the stage at SPACE. Rich Robinson of Black Crowes fame starts it off with "Yesterday I Saw You" from his latest album, Paper. Country power couple Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams give us their rendition of the classic Louvin Brothers song "You're Running Wild".  Up and coming indie-folk rocker Heather Maloney performs "Linger Longer" from her latest record, entitled Making Me Break. LA based singer-songwriter Meiko plays the delicate "Leave The Lights On" from her release The Bright Side. AA Bondy brought us a dark and brooding set and introduction to his song "Surfer King" from his album Believers. Closing out this month's podcast, Toronto's own Great Lake Swimmers led by Tony Dekker give us "Expecting You," a song inspired by the upcoming birth of his first child.

We start off with Utah-based singer-songwriter Joshua James performing "Coal War," followed by vocal powerhouse Bettye LaVette with "As Close As I'll Get To Heaven." After that we have Canadian surf rockers The Sadies performing "Cheat," followed by Chicago's own Brother with "Things She Found." We close the show with San Francisco-based Sean Hayes performing "Powerful Stuff," followed by husband-and-wife duo Johnnyswim with "Live While We're Young." Otis Clay graced the stage at SPACE many times over the years, performing a number of unforgettable shows with his wonderful stage presence, deep soul intensity and great bands. He passed away suddenly in January 2016 and we've been working hard at the SPACE recording studios on a tribute in his memory. The tribute single features 21 musicians including many who performed and recorded with Otis.
