After a break of over 6 months, I'm finally back to releasing things again. I'd actually had this song in the works ever since the episode where the CMC got their cutie marks, but it's been one of those songs that just didn't want to be made without a fight.

The lyrics are also personal to me. For those who didn't watch my earlier announcement video, here's a bit of backstory:

From 2012 to 2014, I was studying Civil Engineering. I was told by people around me that, since I was good at mathematics and science in school, I should pursue an engineering degree. This was the "safe, stable fallback" that I needed, while doing music on the side.
The first year was fun; just like high school, but the more I was there, the less I wanted to be. I began to feel resigned to the fact that this would be the rest of my life, and even though I really loved music, it would have to take a backseat. I started using music-making as an escape to get away from the course: When I should've been studying fluid mechanics and torsion on bearings, I was instead making pastel-coloured horse tunes.
I had a few friends and mentors suggest that I withdraw and do something I loved, though I had fallen into the trap that the path I was currently on was the inevitable end. It was only until my girlfriend at the time, Izobelle (now my lovely fiancée ^_^) confronted me with the fact that I was going out of my way to avoid classes, that it hit me how much I hated the course.
I am now happy to say that, in 2016, I am starting my second year of my Bachelor of Music, and I don't regret the decision a single bit.

Also, if anyone is willing to make a more CMC-ish version, with three female singers instead of one male singer with vocoders, I would feel honoured to hear it! ^_^

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is one of my favourite RPG's (if not game outright) of all time. The witty dialogue, the diversity of its many characters, the numerous world-building sidequesting, and the tongue-in-cheek playing around of it's own mechanics are all parts of what make this masterpiece so great. If you haven't played this game, or at least watched a Let's Play, I strongly recommend it.

This song is about a certain prankster, who loves attention. I've had this song planned in the works for ages, but the lyrics took forever to write.

And yes, my voice does sound a bit higher than usual. I messed with it a little in Melodyne to make it fit the character better.
